Brock didn't know what was going on, but he was determined to find out. Following the female to the inn, as soon as he finds the innkeep, he asks where to sign up for this contest at. Maybe, just maybe he will find some clues there.

Brock follows the woman to the inn. She glances behind her and sees him, then hurries a little faster, looking nervous.
The woman flits across the common room, approaching the man who is presumably the innkeeper. The inn is busy but not unbearably so; Brock passes several armed groups of people on his way in—at least, they’re dressed like people. The nearest has one individual who is green with swirling target-eyes, and another man with pointed ears, arched eyebrows and one red and green eye, so maybe they’re Pokemon…maybe? They’re not the only odd-looking bunch, just the nearest, and perhaps the weirdest.
The innkeeper, fortunately, is definitely human, and listens with the patience of one who has heard many strange tales to the woman Brock followed.
“…have you lost any contestants? I’ve had a strange man following me, acting right out of his head and I thought he might have had a bit too much to drink…”
“Is that him over there?” the innkeeper nods in Brock’s direction.
“Yes.”
The innkeeper approaches; the woman on the other hand apparently decides she’s as close as she wants to be and stays right where she is.
“Hello lad, can I help you?”
Brock explains what he wants, and the innkeeper’s brow furrows. “You’re a little late, lad, but if you’ve come to sign up you’ll need to visit the town hall—just follow the road that way and go right, it’s right at the end, you can’t miss the thing,” he assures Brock.
As the innkeeper talks, a pretty little blonde comes out of the door to the inn’s rooms, stretching.

Brock sees the pretty blond, and only half hears what the innkeeper is saying. He rushes over to the blond and falls to one knee. "Oh my darling, where have you been all my life?! Such radient beauty should not be hidden away in a ... wait a minute..." he looks around..still finding it strange that nobody is dragging him away "this is strange. Still! Could you show me where to find this 'town hall', this gentleman speaks of?!"

“Would you get off me?!” the blonde tries (unsuccessfully) to pull her hand out of Brock’s grip. “I’m not a bloody woman! Let go!” She looks exceedingly frustrated for a moment, enough that her hand briefly goes to her waist for a pistol that isn’t there. Not finding the weapon, she turns to the group nearest the door, still trying to tug her hand free. “Oy mates! Little help?”
((Those of you assembled by the door recognize Jack Sparrow, by the way.))

"I seem to have become lost. I was looking for the nearest Pokemon center, and that radient beauty said thought I was a contestent. I havn't entered any pokemon contest, however. Then I came here, asked about the contest and this fellow suggested the town hall. Then this vision of beauty here came out, and I asked about where the Town Hall was." Brock says truthfully, despite the blank looks he is getting.

With some gold in his pocket, Abaddon went to the inn, for something to eat. In there he found those other chaps that were brought to this world with him.

Glenn stood there in thought. It sounded as though Brock here was talking about stuff that these people knew nothing of. What were these pokemon things anyway?
"Well, this contest has nothing to do with pokemon. At least, not that I could imagine. It sounds as though you are here under the same circumstances we are. You were brought to this place for some unknown reason, from a different world, and placed into another body than your own."
Glenn stops, and sits in a nearby seat.
"You seem like a nice enough person, and since you are here under those same circumstances, would you care to join us in this contest we are thinking about joining?"

Glenn turns his view to the door, and sees Abaddon there.

Glenn gets up, and walks over to him.

- What makes you think that?- asked the ratling, known to Abaddon as Glenn.
- Because some imbecill locked me in a tower's basement in a marsh, northwest of here.- He stabbed an pear and started eating it.- must be a way to thin out the numbers. Not very clever. Barmaid! Bring me something to eat!- he tossed her a coin.

"And to those of you who just arrived, my name is Mark." He said and nodded beofre heading out to the town center.

Abbadon sells his spoils, and (now much heavier in pocket) goes to the inn and pays for a meal. (He is not three steps out the door and another group of adventurers is crowding into the shop, demanding to see the blacksmith’s wares.) He then joins in the discussion.

"Jack? Yeah, I do suppose he...she...whichever, is kind of pretty."
Jack goes red with outrage at this comment, but is so off-balance trying to think of an appropriate counter-remark that he jaws uselessly until he is cut off from responding by Abbadon’s arrival, and shortly thereafter carted off by Rikudo as the group finishes their discussion and leaves for the town hall. At last he manages a remark:
“Bloody—! Do ye mind?!”
He is unsuccessful in freeing himself (herself, whatever) and the group arrives at the town hall a few minutes later. A quick knock, and the voice of the bald man Glenn met earlier calls, “Come in!”
The group enters, and is greeted by the bald man behind the desk.
“Hello my boy,” the bald man says to Glenn. “These are the others you told me about, I take it?” He addresses his next question to the rest of the group. “Do you all understand why you are here?”

Abaddon finished stuffing his face, and went to the town hall. It was easy to find it, as nearby was a crowd of various adventurers. He entered the building and found his group talking to the scribe.
- I'm with them!- He pointed at the group.- Where to sign?
