This forum is unusual to me in that so many of its members seem terrified to post anything. I'll swing by to see what is going on, I'll see 20+ posters online, and the last post was over an hour ago. What the hell are all of them doing? Jacking off to Mytical's newest female avatar?
The quality of the forum is fine as far as forums go. IMO there's just not enough members that talk. We're a hive of lurkers. Though I will say that for whatever reason, this forum among so many others I've briefly visited has managed to addict me, so I'll probably still be around when H6 starts and activity surges. I actually think the reason I stayed is because of its curious culture; it's annoyingly timid and yet so pleasantly polite.

Well... Mytical could fire up the ICTC, that always gather some people and activity.
Actually, he should've started it already, early january he said...
More contests and stuff where people can show off!

I necroed it and only got Mysty's reply. Then I'm pretty sure I created a thread in the Wastelands to draw attention to the barren lands of the Coliseum, but it died in silence.

I saw it, but it didn't look very interesting.
I guess variant interests are another problem. We've got a small enclave of TOH'ers, a small enclave of Templars, a small enclave of OSM'ers, etc, but a good deal of people don't move around within the whole forum. I know I never touch the MOD forums, rarely the TOH, and never the Glade except for a few rare instances in the past.

Was having similar thoughts lately but my exam preparation/aikido are distracting me too much to reflect on the issue. Most people(often myself included) treat their free time as effortlessly/mindlessly as possible than trying the creative way - but junk food for the mind just isn't as nutritious.
Know what is really missing? Interaction, meaningful or at least witty interaction between members. Then we are missing thread-starters, as if people are shy to start a thread or not fearing it won't be too interesting. Come on, you don't have to create a masterpiece. Heck even veco started making threads  Ephemeral threads that will die after a couple of days can be fun, it's cool when each member adds his own personal touch.
The tavern merge doesn't seem a bad idea, it could help newbies get into the community easier. So many I've seen introduce themselves and then disappear.

I think I commented on that in the newcomers inn somewhere. I just don't get it...go through the time to make an account, register an email etc. ok it doesn't take that long, but then write one post and never come back again, what is the point?

Well as much as I'd like to help you I assure you that I'm not wimp (well compared to you maybe yes... I don't intentionally burn my hand to see who has the stronger will aswell as not hikeing 40km with 50kg rifles and whatnot and other stuff. But if that's the criteria I'm pretty comfortable with being a wimp).

Can't you tell I'm kidding? I thought the 60kg benchpress would make it obvious... I benchpress 500kg with my pinky finger without breaking a sweat I thought that was obvious?
