I was able to edit the map, but not save it successfully - everything seemed fine, but no changes were made in the end. Probably editor was also changed in the meantime?

Still, VCMI can handle it

I think you can't play maps with more than 48 towns because of some kind of memory / AI limiting. See this:

Sure. Random map generation didn't work, though.

Here is the setup which works fine for me. Tell me if any additional files are needed.

I just tested and x/y >144 coordinates work in ERM. Good to know. Also GrayFace patch must be reapplied, and XXL editor will have all the enhancements.

I could make a map 504x504 with WoG Editor but it crash when I change the first day T_T but only happens in HD

in normal wog doesn't crash T_T

some idea what can be?

do u need I upload the map?

Don't be ansious, coz is just a piece of terrain, two heroes, an UG tunel and one UGentrance camuoflated like cristal

I make this to get the Wog Editor working

-I run the patchmap.exe
-then change 36x36 to 504x504
-later rename H3WMAPED.EXE to H3WMAPED xxl.EXE (coz to me, the save doen't work in de original H3WMAPED)
-and done, u can make 504x504 maps with the wog options to avanced propieties on objets ^^

Thanks, I did not have this file. So, if I set 144x144 to 305x305 for example and design a map, the player will have to run the patch.exe too to be able to play it? Maybe we should try to create a fast install of the whole thing.

My previous H3wogxxl.exe was set to 252x252 I think. Now that I created a 504x504 map, it opens it but I get serious visual glitches (anything down is not displayed). Does this exe need to be changed as well? How?
