Quote: How to extract creatures from other games?
For each game there are methods. If a drawing 3D it is necessary to search for that any editor of three-dimensional models for this game or in general.
If a drawing 2D, that, besides, to begin with it is necessary to learn to unpack resources of this game, and then to take therefrom a drawing and to process it
Quote: How to put creature portrait to the game?
All big creatures portraits contains in TWCRPORT.DEF in h3sprite.lod
But all images concerning monsters (Small portraits in the hero armies, an icon of a speciality of the hero, cadres of animation of "protection" on a global card) are contained in CPRSMALL.DEF, UN32.DEF, UN44.DEF, AVWATTAK.DEF
Quote: How to put hero portraits in the game?
You can use special ERM code
!!HE#1:L#2^file.pcx^;
#1 - Number of hero
Sets a hero's portrait to an external image file.
#2 = 1 - Set small picture to file.pcx
#2 = 2 - Set large picture to file.pcx
#2 = 3 - Reset both pictures to default (no ^...^ allowed)
Comments:
file.pcx will be searched for in heroes DATA directory. But you can use subdirectory. Example ^c\name.pcx^ - in "c" subdirectory of the DATA dir. Or ^..\maps\1.1^ - in MAPS dir of Heroes.
Important! The full length of file name (with subdirectory path) cannot be more than 12 characters.
The screen will be redrawn automatically if you change the hero's portrait.
Quote: How to creata objects?(extract them)?
You need to learn to work with graphic editors, to begin with. If you already are able, try to take for a basis some objects from WoG, try to unpack at first cadres of animation from DEF, to process them, and then back to pack. Only do not forget that cadres should be made in the indexed colours
