Well that's not really a screenshot for the vampire fans, but for those who hate it...
Those who said that when smaller the vampire will look different, take a closer look to the picture and say that thing again.

you're being presumptious vlad. Some vampire fans, myself included actually like the new vamp. For one i think he looks cooler in a tux as opposed to being a crazed uncontrollable blood sucking monster (which he is, just a little more civilized).

Graphics are nice. I can stand the vampire, but he looks kinda stereotyped. To people who don't like the fact that this game isn't 3D, just look at the units. They don't look 3D enough to you? Could have fooled me. They look to me like they're 3D accelerated. Pretty good considering they aren't. They definately don't look like sprites anyway.

re: Vampire
I have looked vladpopescu79 at the vampires and although the picture is massive because of the resolution factor i still say they look good and very medievil.
The Gryphon looks very nice indeed, more natural than majectic.
These pictures in great

there're also 6 new screenshots, of which one includes the griffin, unlike the previous homm's, he finally stands on four feet...
too bad that that two of the champions is over it's head...
I also noticed the knight-like figure casting a spell, could it be a crusader?

ow, I realize now he could also just be raising his sword because of the morale-boost, nice graphic if every unit does something when boosted...

The vampire looks more late renaisance then medieval, but that's quite apropriate for the game world. Most fantasy worlds are modeled more after the renaisance era then the middle ages, even though people often incorrectly refer to them as medieval. There are a few games that really try to reflect the middle ages, but they are rare.
Of course heroes doesn't take place on earth, and it doesn't take place in any of earths historical cultures or time periods. So historical eras are rather irrelevent.

Well.. with the tux, they could have at least textured the ruffles of the shirt a little more instead of making it look like a smooth dress shirt... I still think it lacks detail, perhaps cut out to reduce rendering time... bad bad bad idea.

lmao, the vamp looks like..
when i was trying to choose what programming course to take a few years ago, i visited several lectures. and there was some guy who said sth like that:
assume we have written a program that adds 2 to 3. if the result is 5, it looks like our program works. but if we now add 3 to 2 and get 7, it means that.. the program.. doesn't work!!!
i don't know how good an actor he might have been, but he sounded like he was really serious, and others who knew him better said that that's what he is like.
well, the vamp looks exactly like him on the screenshots, except as far as i remember, his eyes didn't glow that much, he didn't wear a cape, and he had an ordinary red tie instead of a pink butterfly tie.
i know.. this experience and association is probably just personal with me, sth in my past that haunts me.. so you can probably see things from a different point of view.. but maybe he was a vampire who had found his strategic niche disguising himself as a programming teacher?
lmao.
(if some of you were expecting sth like this, i hope i didn't disappoint you )
========
btw i think i have an explanation for the vampire's tie. it is the amulet that lets them walk in the sun. that's why the amulet had the shape of a butterfly (instead of a bat or sth that is a night creature). as the vampires were in the high ranks of nobility, they started to influence the clothing fashion, and that's why we have suits like that today. it was all magical robes in the past that were needed for practical purposes. our modern suits are just an imitation of the powerful vampire robes and amulets, no matter if we know it or not.
