Direction on combat screen
Hi all!
As far as I can tell from the screenshots released, the opponents will start in the lower left and upper right corner of the screen. This will make us only se the back of one players creatures and the front of the others.
I would prefere to keep the combat screen the traditional way (left-right) and see the profiles of the creatures.
What do you think?

Though the changes to Homm4 seem strange wierd, almost crazy at this point, I think we can trust 3dO, have they let us down yet?

I like this view better, it looks nicer. The units are more 3D than they ever were in the side to side view. You can see more of them now.

The new view is a lot more awesome than the old one. If you are having trouble watching the creatures backsides then simply command them to walk towards you. Satisfied?

what about turning their butts towards their ultimate leader? i think they should definitely turn their front side towards me, and walk backwards when they attack.

I think that a 3d perspective over the battlefield is definitely the answer, but 3do has some problems with it.
If they have 3d rendered creatures, how come you can't rotate the perspective, like in Panzer 3? I don't want to see always the butts of my troops.
And the music is awfull...

well, I think it should be adjustable for single player, wehter you feel like starting on top or at the bottom when attacked/attacking.

I heard that Christian Vanover had said on the 3dO community board that they too were tired of always seeing the backs of your own creatures and were going back to a left to right view in the combat screen.
Think it was printed on Celestial heavens front page but it was a while ago.
