Asking for advice here.
I'm thinking of buying a new game, but am torn between three:-
Fable 2
Alien vs Predator 3
Bioshock 2
Also thinking of getting Splinter Cell Conviction, when it eventually decides to be released.
I suck at fighting, but love RPG's. Which would you recommend?
Thanx

Even though I LOVE the Fable series, Fable 2 is, again, short, so I'd not recommend that one. I haven't played the other two but yeah, just letting you know.

Many thanks William.
the game being short, wont be a problem for me. I have a short attention span lol.
More interested in the gameplay, than the time span. How good is the actual gameplay?
Sorry if Im being a pain.

Sorry they aren't on your list but given that you like choices/rp ing but not fighting I'd recommend:
Quest for Glory series (old but good)
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic (fighting is manageable and the choice aspect is very well developed.)
But yeah I hear good things about Fable.

Haven't played any of those but I was pretty hyped for AVP3.
Looks to me like it turned out awfully... average.
EDIT: Seeing as how Fable 2 isn't a new game I'd probably go for that, and once you're bored with it the other two games might've dropped in price

I think Bioshock 2 would be the best buy!!
Bioshock 1 rocked big time! There is so many options that makes the game difrent everytime you complete it..
And as far as i know, the 2nd bioshock game doesn't disapoint.
And as for the RPG i actually recommend this:
Very good rpg

Hey! That's a whole RPG-launcher! Not an RPG! Well, there's one of those to! What size do you wish for? 40mm is standard and comes in all possible purposes... almost.
As you've listed Fable 2, I take it you've got an X-box?
Any way, all the games there have an important fighting aspect, are you really looking for that? Or... Ok, let's put it simple: What kind of RPG are you looking for, and what aspects of roleplaying are you looking for? Actual roleplaying, character stat building, character evolving, tactis, strategy, story?

Thanks guys.
@Gnu - have one of those .... oh Yeah! And the trailers for Bioshock 2 look really cool.
@Shares - truthfully Im looking for most of that. Just kinda wondering if anyone has knowledge of these games and which ones they recommend. I guess I prefer the RP, but also like the character development and exploration in the games (like free roam).

If you really are looking for roleplaying, I must suggest tabletop playing. The actual roleplaying part is WAY to complex to leave in the hands of a computer. However, the meaning of roleplaying has lost it's meaning throughout the brief history of computer gaming(I'm sorry if you really do know what roleplaying is, and you're forgiven if you don't), and most of the ones with actual roleplaying are PC only, and lack (in) graphics. However, there are a lot of good games, that have a bad roleplaying aspect, such as Fable or KotOR.
My point is that roleplaying, is a very loose term, and that actual roleplaying is sadly undernurished and unavailable for computers and consoles. However, there's plenty of "RPG's" that lacks actual roleplaying.
For free roam, there's plenty of MMORPG's, but I don't think too many of those are available for consoles, and they suck in every other aspect - I could suggest a rougelike game, but they really are hardcore games(due to the lack of graphics, the advanced controls and being turn based) - So that kinda leaves games like Fable, and games like Final Fantasy. They have a big world to explore, but the world is often explored "for" you when you play the main plot(as in the first Fable there's not much left to explore when you've finished the game once). Fable is can also be quite action filled, if you want it to, but it's very easy to get by if you're smart. Final Fantasy is turned based, so it has a different level of tactics to it, however, it has no battlefield, so there's no logistical tactics.
KotOR is a great game, with a lot of side plots, and a quite good main one. It uses a basic leveling system (DnD 3.X I guess?) so it's easy to grasp the basics, but since it's so ridden with little tweaks and perks, so it's hard to learn them all(unless you've played DnD?). (I'm quite sure they're available for X-box), it's turnbased, but it's quite well hidden. All in all, it's the typical Wizards of the Coast RPG, but for starwars. If you want something newer, I guess NWN2 and Dragon age is pretty much the same, except that NWN2 tries to have a deep story (as do Dragon Age) and maneges to pretend to have one.
There's always Oblivion or Fallout. I've played Fallout quite a lot, but haven't finished the main quest yet, and still I've had some fun just running around, pretending to roleplay
I hope that helps, and I'd be happy to get some more details or answer all your questions(and I'm serious here, mind you!). It really is a wide subject, and I'm really deep into it!
EDIT: That last bit sounds really cheesy, doesn't it? Also note: When I say Final Fantasy, I'm not talkiong about the most resent ones, since they're MMO's and I haven't tried them.

I'd have to suggest Fable, or maybe go outside the box (of what you listed) and get Oblivion.
