Improved Duel Mode

I really liked the idea of Duel Mode in Heroes 5 but I was disappointed in how limited it was. I'm hoping that Heroes 6 will add some improvements to it. Here's a few of my ideas:

1. Let the players decide on the level of the hero and the size of the army. It's kind of annoying how you could only have duels between level 15 heroes in HoMM5. It would be nice to at least have the choice between level 10, 20, 30, and 40 heroes.

2. Make skills and abilities like Necromancy, Logistics, Snatch, Spoils of War, etc. more useful. They may be good in a regular game but they're only use in duel mode is to give you access to other abilities. Give these skills and abilities a special bonus for duel mode. For example, Necromancy could give you a bonus to your army size. Logistics, Resourcefulness, Snatch, and Spoils of War could give you an overall bonus to the resources available for troops and artifacts.

3. More varied arenas. It would be nice to have arenas of different sizes with varying amounts of obstacles.

4. Add different duel modes. For example:

-Siege mode - the defending army gets to be inside a garrison/castle and the attacking army gets additional troops based on the garrison/castle level.

-Hazard mode - the arena is full of hazards like mines, entangling vines, blade barriers, etc. Also, to prevent turtling with archers, any unit that stays stationary for too long has a chance of getting hit by a powerful lightning strike that bypasses resistance.

-Survival mode - single player or co-op. You have to survive against hordes of respawning neutral armies that get stronger every time. You get gold, reinforcements, experience, mana boosts, stat increases, and artifacts for every wave you defeat.

-Chess mode - self explanatory.

I like all these suggestions and had considered the same thing, epically the chess idea;

how about squares on the field that provide a increase to the stats of the sides piece (units) standing on the tile a.k.a a Power Tile.
