Modesty Mod
I made this mod because I am unimpressed with some of Nival's artwork, so I made a simple mod to sensor the game a bit. You could say it changes the game from rated R to PG-13. I just made the textures I dislike completely black. It is ugly but it was easiest to do so I can actually play the game.
This mod should work for all three versions of the game. The hero icons are messed up but I'm working on fixing that.
One day I hope to learn how to replace 3D models and replace the offending objects with something someone else has done but time is limited unfortunately.
Version 0.8: Download v0.8 (For All versions of Heroes V)
Version 0.6: Download v0.6 (For vanilla Heroes 5)

Installation:
Just place the .pak file in the game's data folder, usually something like "Heroes of Might and Magic 5\Data"

I would try doing something like putting armor on them. While I never liked the idea of bikini warriors, I think this is a little bit too wussy for me.

So you think that they're so hideous that it's an improvement to simply... erase their apperance? Damn that's hard man.

I know, it is ugly and rough, but yes, I do think it is an improvement to have black spots running around the screen than what the game currently has. It was just the easiest thing to do for now.  I didn't want to spend the time to try to change the models, especially as difficult a time as it appears people are having with editing models here.

I can see why you'd do this, if only because they're Warhammer ripoffs as well as nudists...  the beta textures for the Furies were less scantily-clad, just check the Workshop phonebook if you need them.

Starting a debate wasn't my intention in posting this. There is tons of debate on the topic that can be found elsewhere.
Thank you Cepheus for the tip  , though I am not very interested in having them wear 'skin-tight' clothes either. I do feel it would be an improvement over Nival's choice of textures but a game's appearance is very low in importance to me.
What I hope to do one day is find some new models to put in the mod. Currently I don't have time to learn how to do that but maybe by next year I'll have worked something out.
EDIT OCT/23/10
So I found a little time to try to work on this and give it a better appearance but I found there is a problem with this latest version. I tried to change the character's icons and in the game the icons are just filled with gibberish graphics. I haven't found anything on it yet. Is there something I have to do different with a character icon?

I would prefer them to have armor instead of just being black as well. I don't know how much of it can be done since the format they use in this game doesn't seem very friendly. As I said earlier, I want to replace the people to avoid the ugly graphics but don't know how to do that yet.
Also, a question I had from above:
I found there is a problem with this latest version. I tried to change the character's icons but in the game the icons are just gibberish. I haven't found anything on it yet. Is there something I have to do different with a character icon vs a texture?
