Heroes of Might and Magic 5: Legends of the Thera.

Welcome
Do you want to change the Heroes of Might and Magic V, another game in another world than that of Ashan Enroth? Other units, another story, other races, other characters? Looking for people seeking to meet this miracle. Together we can create a beautiful game, we have a different opinion on this subject, of course, but if it just join? I think developing a strong fashion changing the game. It is not about castles only, but also a plot, units, music, and other matters. World, yet has no name, but always to invent, but the thought of Thera. Invent a lot of things if I present my ideas:

There will be no Academy, but instead will be a different city. However, I have no idea on what. Nor will the city elements. I once planned to make the city the high elves, but I have heard from many players the comments of "Why add more elves?!."

Appearance of units:

No improvement. will be normal in these colors, the angel will have blonde hair, silver armor and a white "dress". Improvements will be the white, silver and blue. Alternatives to gold, blue or gold and purple. Generally remove these symbols in all units (the sun, griffins ...) and give a fleur-de-lis and griffins (something such http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/47/POL_wojew% C3% B3dztwo_zachodniopomorskie_COA.svg only that is to be black). As for griffins, I propose this:
not improve brown
improvement of white or white-gray
alternative to dark brown(but not much) or brownish-white

Looks Cities:

White-gray buildings, gray-blue roofs, windows, for example, such a monastery slightly bluish white, very green grass, blue sky, such that the clouds, the sun this summer or in the mountains or forests, or both this and this. The symbol of "having" such as cities, mines on the map at the time the sun will be fun

The appearance of the characters and what they generally:

anyone) Why are the dogs instead of the peasants?
i) Since the peasants are associated with weak unit, miserable warrior and a simple man who is not only pushing the fight to the simple rural life. Even the story of "... are ready to defend his master and their families" will not help.

anyone) Why is there no snipers those with a crossbow?
i) is a strange ailment, right? Bowman has a bow, then quickly throws you for a crossbow, yet can choose: Either have a crossbow, or bow your beloved.

anyone) What are you thinking of the griffins?
i) We will take these gryfom armor. Looks strange on the armor of an armored griffin is not the creation of which is to be suitable. This is different from, for example, dragons.

anyone) Why alternative acolyte or priest is an old wizard?
i) 'Cause it's strange: One lock designed for people who love war, honor, and the like, and one for those who went to the grace of other magic. After that, a priestly magic is part of the magical arts. How do you want, you can give a mage instead of priests...

Marie(Golden Tongue) - Basic Leadership, Diplomacy and First Aid Tent
Sophie(Paragon Knight)- Basic Magic Light, Benediction spell Divine Strength.
Edwin(Master of Elements) - Basic Summoning Magic, Master of Conjuration spell Summon Elementals

My time is short at the moment so I'll start on commenting on the unit names.

1) Dog
1a) Dog Fighting -engrish. I believe "war dog" would be better off.
1b) Bloodhound -bloodhound is a specific breed of dog, though i can't say it wouldn't work either. i would choose a variety here however, like "feral dog", "cur", "mongrel, etc"

2) Archer
2a) The Sagittarius / Royal Archer -THE implies there is only one. Marksman means royal archer so i see no need for a namechange here. Isn't Sagittarius a centaur?
2b) crossbowman

3) Footman
3a) Swordsman/ Knight -Historically, Knight would be an upgrade to Squire, but that is history however. Otherwise I would use a less common name like "Valet" to spice things up.
3b) Swordsman / Vindicator / Knight -"Vindicator" is an Ashan-specific unit type as you won't find it anywhere else.

4) Griffin
4a) White Griffin
4b) Royal / Black Griffin

5) The Acolyte -again, "the" indicates there is only one.
5) Priest
5b) Wizard - not sure how wizards and priests would co-exist in this manner as faith usually counters magic, but I suppose it does here.

6) Cavalier -Cavalier means cavalry in french, and was put in heroes 3 originally to make them have a less generic name than cavalry and not be called knights as that is a hero class. I would try with "man-at-arms" as they were historically well armored cavalrymen who were beneath nobility.
6a) Paladin
6b) Templar

7) Angel
7a) Archangel / Cherubino / Seraph
7b) Seraph / Cherubino -Cherubino sounds like a spanish candybar. Cherubim is the english word you are looking for. However, according the angel hierarchy Cherubims are about the most powerful angels there is, I would give one of these angels the name Erelim to make it more interesting.

2. Marksman is somehow as if brandishing a crossbow, not a bow.
3. Maybe, maybe ... you have some "alternative" name?With pleasure I will listen.
4. Magician will be the "guest" of the Academy, like what. It is possible also instead of priests to give wizards.
5. Cavalryman or Horseman possibly.
6. Eralim? Strange name, a neologism, it is true, but matching like a glove.

I apologise most firmly, but I need somebody who would help me with names at times.

Crossbows were actually more often given to inexperienced soldiers than royal marksmen, as they were slow but required less skill to use. Marksmen were commonly shortbow or longbowmen.

Hmm, Maybe the upgrades should be Longbowman and Arbalestier? The Longbowman has no range penalty, and the same initiative as the common archer, while the Arbalestier has short range but his attacks ignore some of the defence skill of the enemy.

Idea for the footsoldier:
3) Swordsman
3a) Valet (defensive, protector) Valets are loyal servants of noblemen who defend their betters with their lives, probably high morale as a result.
3b) Crusader (offensive) Excellent in fighting other factions, no bonuses for fighting his own.

5) Apprentice (caster) a young student studying the arts of magic.
3a) Sorceror (caster-buff)) an experienced spellcaster with an array of blessings and curses.
3b) Conjuror (caster-summoner) a powerful spellcaster focusing on, but not limited to, summoning powerful creatures.
These three units have powerful magic, but are otherwise weak.

These ideas are based on the idea of not having the hero called knight.
6) Knight
6a) Knight Errant -a knight traveling the world is search for adventure, excellent morale, immune to mind control.
6b) Knight Templar -immune to curses, his attacks always removes positive buffs from enemies.

In the case of having the above Knight unit types, the hero could be called Noble (or Lord/Lady), which is less specific of a title and makes more sense than having a lowly knight commanding an entire empire.

As mages and religious figures co-exist, I would see this faction as something Arthurian, were the old ways and new walk hand in hand.

Just some random ideas I had.
If you need a skin or two, just PM me, I have done tons for my own project that will never be released and I would be glad to see someone using them instead of collecting dust!
