Guide:Faction Artwork
This guide learn you to fiind/make good images for your faction.The fantstics artwork atract attention(and QP )
CHAPTER 1:Aleardy made and half-made
1.Search
The most simple way to fiind images for your faction is a search site(like google and yahoo).It's fastest and no need very much work.But not always you fiind what you wish.An exemple I want a Lizardman,for a desert faction and I want like my Lizardman to have sword and armor.I do the search on Google and I post the best images:
But it's a problem in my faction I wrote:
Swordmaster
The swordmaster is a Lizardman who use a sword,wear an armor with a snake....
Is incopatible with the description,because I don't want a Lizardman Archer,but a Swordlizard.I don't want to haven't a image,but who I can fiind them?A great question,but don't lose hope,and read the follow points
2.Anterior Heroes
The anterior heroes have a lot of creatues and if I want something diferent I can make combination.At homm 4 and 5 it's hard to make combination,I must resize etc.But the most simple are Homm 1,2&3.The Homm 1&2 haven't a very good graphic,the homm 3 remain the best canditate.I can use professional programs(like photoshop)and more easy paint.Now,I'm looking at description:
Swordmaster
The swordmaster is a Lizardman who use a sword,wear an armor with a snake....
I select the good creatures and make combination:
Now can be good,but I can improve it:Make an animation
This is the Walk animation of a normal lizardmen:
I can make it simple,only recolur the frames and put armor and sword.First I must extract the frames of the normal Lizardman:
After recolor and put armor,helm and sword:
And now extract the frames and save separates.And using an animation program:
CHAPTER 2:Start from 0
1.Computer program
When I choose to start from 0,I alerdy know this is very-hard.You need talent and a lot of free time.All programs are good from paint to photoshop and 3D modeling.The most hard it's with paint,I haven't to much option,but I can do a lot of thinks.

...I know amny people prefer using images, but personally, I even like it more to stay with descriptions...they will DEFINITELY be closer to what you have in mind!

I always take pictures from the internet, because I want to show somehow, what I have in mind and not just throw the name into the pot.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but is this topic about how to make a creature seen on a picture that was found on the internet?
