Are you sure it is Artanis and not just a random Zealot? Just because Artanis looks different in the other trailer they released.
Agreed on the archon, that hit me riiiight in the nostalgia.
The voice over was definitely Artanis, which makes me think that the last protos was meant to be him. If not, then I'll be happy with that.

For me all the Protoss (except females) sound the same Back in Brood War he did have this "teen" voice though, so he sounded somewhat different... But seriously, I doubt he would be sent to the front lines. He's the Protoss boss now, he even wears this heavy and shiny bad-ass armor...
What do you guys say about the Collectors Edition? It seems pricey, but that Manual seems really interesting. I prefer when there's more info over art in those kind of books.

Wow, they've really added some cool eye-candies in the 3.0 patch. The campaign window is a nice nostalgia touch. They've also made some nice changes to the UI, especially Chat. On a side-note I kinda dislike this new Blizzards strategy... Recently they reveal so many things before a game is even released that there's not much to discover when the actual thing is avaible. We already know the cinematic intro, all the new units and some other things. Teasing can be good for sales, but they've brought it to a whole new level. Paying so much solely to get the campaign (even if it's great) might not seem like a good deal to some...
BTW do you guys expierience problems when playing Multiplayer? Although my laptop is not a big rig, while I can play campaign almost on full details I can't play custom games on any level of details. At first it's ok, but when there are many units game gets so choppy that it's unplayable for me. I don't remember having such issues before... seems like a problem with optimalization, and I've seen many players talking about it...
EDIT: Oh a question guys. Because I don't play competetive multiplayer I was wondering why there's so many hate for the game lately (on teh forums). People are bashing LotV saying that devs made some bad choices and that the game goes in a bad direction it was dumbed down etc (this is based on beta). What gives?

Don't waste your time with the official forums, they are full of snow posts lol
From what I've seen (granted it's not much), there are some great changes & additions, but also a fair number of worrisome ones too. Once they iron out the biggest imbalances (Adepts until recently, for instance) and we start to reguraly see the big players participating in LotV tournaments (read: koreans) we should be able to grab a better opinion about it.

You can't blame them for revealing the cinematic intro (I kindly remind you during WoL annoucnement they actually revealed both WoL intro and Zeratul vs KErrigan fight ). Nor the new multiplayer units for that matter, game must have a modicum level of balance by release due to the eSport scene.
On an unrelated note, Proleague Grand Final VODs are up on YouTube. Worth watching

I remember, and that's what I'm saying: this strategy has been running for quite some time now... (by recent I mean 2-3 years )
Well, it seems that the performance problem is related to the new 64-bit version. You have to check the "play in 32 bit" option in the Battle.net application (in Settings). Works a lot better now (though my machine still can't handle the game whithout framerate drops in 3vs3 on full details ).
Watched the recomended video Storm, out of curiosity. Damn, winning a game because your opponent didn't see a forwarded Factory is ridiciolous. Dat micro-managment! I mean, when I play with my friends we just spam units and throw them at each other
PS: Wow, just what did they do to Swarm Hosts... remove auto-cast? 60 seconds cooldown!? Well thx, non-micro players like me now find this unit useless. Really bad decisions here even if it was made with competetive in mind. It's one of Blizzards policies I just can't understand: when they're "nerfing" something they make it from OP to plain useless, and don't even reconsider changing back, just like in Hearthstone...

Swarm Host is nerfed, but at the same time it is changed because its role is different now.
It isn't used for endless defense, where waves of Locusts were coming so often that you couldn't push against them at all. Right now it is used as harassment tool(or sometimes as late game Zerg vs. Terran Mech strategy).
They have buffed Locusts a lot(their attack is as fast as unstimmed Marines now) and they can fly which means that ~5 Swarm Hosts can be used to snipe important buildings or kill workers from very farm. You don't need to burrow them now, and they are A LOT faster, as fast as Stalkers off creep, on creep you can't even catch them lol.
I highly recommend for you to watch the game below:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABtDrAC6EjI
Also, the only reason why Swarm Hosts in LOTV are considered "useless" is because nobody is even making them right now with how strong Ravagers, Lurkers, Ultras and Vipers are right now with their new changes in LOTV. Few of the high level players that I've talked to agreed with me that Swarm Host is actually in a really good spot and that it might be too strong in LOTV and that is coming from a Zerg players.

Sorry to break the news to you, but the one who proxied the factory lost lol
You should check Dream vs Maru and INnoVation vs sOs (this one is down for some reason), those where long and very highly level games, they will surely blow your mind

Yeah, I know. What I meant was the possibility (he didn't see it coming, yet Jinair still defended nicely). Winning the game at such an early stage is probably what makes a pro. Sorry I wasn't clear enough, when I read my sentence it actually sounds misleading...
And about that Swarm Host. It does look nice if used skillfully, but again, from my point of view they made the unit harder to be effectivly used, because it needs too many actions and micro and I'm not that skilled (and probably won't be, cause I don't play Starcraft competetivly)...

Ah. Right then, but that's what scouting is for. You can't simply play blindly, you have to be aware of what your opponent is doing
As for multiplayer in general, if it's stressing for you, maybe you should give a try to the Arcade. And in no time LotV will be here with Archon mode and Allied Commanders. We can't complain about the lack of content, for all players

Yikes! The time has finally come: e-sport has officialy been made into a "real sport", cause only real sports can be abused ;P
On a different note I know most of you guys are not that much into single player, but in preparation for LotV I've recently finished the Zerg campaign for the second time, and damn that was fun (again). I really hope the Void campaign will bring some fun stuff, cause things like those Evolution missions, all the Zerus missions, Protoss ship infestation or Hyperion vs Miras Mercenaries missions were all top-notch. Can't wait to see what things they have in store for us plus I'm interested in how the story will end.

To be fair, this is nowhere near to the level of the BW matchfixing scandal back in 2010. That involved 11 players, including one of the very best of all times (sAviOr, such irony xd). That alone pretty much killed the scene, to give an idea of how impactful it was...
Korean basketball, baseball, soccer, and volleyball have all had match fixing scandals in the past decade too, it's just Korea is really snowed. On e-Sports side of things, I believe CS:GO had some issues with skin bettings a few months back, so it's not just StarCraft.

Blizz SC2 campaigns have always delivered in terms of gameplay, an absolute joy to play and replay. Can't say the same about the story tho...

The Wings of Liberty campaign was very difficult! I guess I was slightly disappointed in the fact that HotS campaign didn't take much effort to complete. But other than that I did like it a lot, and am really excited for the LotV campaign.
