H3: Any way to create single-player random maps?
I mean, with an objective like "flag all mines" or "find the Grail" and zero CPU opponents?
If you set the RMG to one player, it just adds a CPU when it creates the map.
I know I could do it in the map editor, but then I can see the map before I play it, and that's no fun. :/

Might not be reasonable but I guess you can "fix" some random map templates, so that the AI has no contact to other zones, thus cant reach you without dimension door/fly. Which he cant get, if he has a town without level 5 mage guild.
Then of course, you need DD or fly yourself to win the game.
With some self-discipline about winning, you can collect all mines and then go for AI, who cant really play, to confirm your victory.

...............................................................
this is how to play random map with "capture all mines" option:
...............................................................
1.open map_editor*, paint new map .... or generate it**!
2.between many options, there is an "victory conditions" button >
to find it - in map editor press: Tools>Map'Specifications>Special'Victory'Condition
there you can specify wictory conditions, in your case, select: capture all mines.
....................................................................
this is how to "integrate" new maps for single or multiplayer modes:
....................................................................
after saving NEW-painted\generated map, you have to place it in "maps" folder.
this folder is inside where you have installed Heroes3.
rename your map with any name, !WHICH ALREADY IS IN MAPS FOLDER!
for example: name it: "too many monsters.h3m"
after that, you can run-play this map in H3 normally, instead of
previous "too many monsters" map***.
good luck!
____________
* map editor = h3maped.exe inside "Heroes3" folder
** to generate random map, in map-editor, press: File>New>Generate'Random'Map.
*** the name of your new map automatically will be named "UNTITLED" or "RANDOM MAP" in H3-MAP-SELECTION-BAR.

...
I said in the first post I already know how to do that. >_>
I don't want to do that because then I know what the map looks like ahead of time. Kills the fun.

Do this: start map editor, make the window so small that you cant see the map or minimap. Generate the map, fix the settings, play
