LOL asked to me to check out this thread. Miley Cyrus is a little girl and I'm not interested in her music. To answer the question, yes, I think she's growing up too fast, but she's not the only one. Most girls are growing up too fast today. They should spend more time being children. In Manhattan, you see 12 year old girls wearing makeup and carrying designer purses, when they should be home playing with dolls.

I don't know that much about her, but she seemed to be more likable when she was an innocent young girl. This image doesn't fit her.

One last point. She's a public figure, so we are entitled to talk about her.

Now, let's move on to more important things, like the NY Yankees.

Imagine if you could, depending on what you want, decide if you'd be a child or a grown up.

Then those children who try so hard to be like grown ups and doesn't care about their child hood and those grown up who misses being a child can switch places!

Why the evil smiley you might wonder? Well because it'd probably make the world implode having a lot of non qualified workers around. Oh wait a minute, that was wrong.

Hey, don't drag me into this, I just suggested you to come here because you said things were getting a off-topic.

I never liked her, even when she was on Disney and stuff.

omg I was obserbing my sister yesterday when she was watching the swedish kids channel here (which is called "The Kid Channel" - how originall - also it sucks, when I was a kid there were childrens show on all channels during the morning and I just loved Sailor Moon etc the cat is so funny) and than I saw her...

Hannah Mountain. Speaking swedish. In my TV.
Dubbed.
I was shocked. Speechless. It was amazing and yet hideous.
Dubbed.

And then I loled IRL because dubbed Hanna Montana sounded so funny and wrong. xD

Anyway, Hanna Montana etc ruined Disney. They used to make movies with lots of detail etc such as Beauty and the Beast, the Lion King and the Hunchback of Notre Dame (which is called "The Ringer of Notre Dame" here).

God, what a skank. It's not even surprising she'd pull something like this.

Dunno really, people prolly treat that as a rhetorical question; questions without answers...

Justin didn't start off from Disney though... We'd have to give him that one.

I wouldn't really say I like either of them, but of the two I'd pick Miley.  Bieber is really not talented at singing or dancing while Miley can do both.

I think we should try to keep our child soul, instead of rejecting it like it's an illness. I think there would be less suffering in the world.

I'd rather get a porcupine shoved up my *you know what will be said here* than listen to her music. My opinions about modern music, however, are widely known on this forum so I don't think I have to explain myself again.  I do think that artists like herself give a negative image towards young girls with all that makeup and fashion stuff. Girls, at the age of 12 or lower, shouldn't be doing that stuff. It's going to affect them badly later in life (snowty dresses and stuff). It's not good at all. It's just against what I'd personally do as a musician and try to act professional and give a positive influence on people that listen to my music, especially if they're young or teenagers.

Not really, Miley obviously can't sing, but she certainly excels in lap-dancing.
Of the two, I'd probably pick Bieber.

Sorry about that, I suddenly found myself overcome by the irrestable urge to further impress to people the skank Miley truly is.

She gave the producer of her crappy movie, The Last Song, who is probably more than twice her age, a freakin' lap-dance. Sweet God, if that doesn't spell outright **e, I don't know what does.

Nowadays, you don't even need a talent to get far in the industry. All you need to do is give some old prune some lap dance and hey- you're today's headlines.

God, it makes me sick.

By the way, she was sixteen when she gave that man a lap-dance.

If you talk about her, you're giving her attention; so let's all just ignore her. She's relatively insignificant in my book.

I don't know, one of my friends that likes rap was talking about someone (maybe Jay-Z?) and saying that even though the message is good he would rather listen to someone else (maybe snoop-dawgy dogg?) because the music was better.

Does anyone pay attention to the words of songs?  I get the impression that words are secondary to a catchy tune.
