My map is all black?
I'm trying to play a map in Tribes of the East that I made a while ago in Vanilla Heroes, but it doesn't work.
When I open the map in the game and in the map editor there are no textures, everything is black except for the glow from treasures and portals. I have tested it on three computers and get the same problem.
Is Tribes of the East really not backwards compatible with Heroes 5 Vanilla? Or is something just wrong with my map? Is there a way to fix this issue?
EDIT: I've tested other Vanilla maps and it seems to work fine. Any ideas how my map got broken??
EDIT2: I checked the map properties and found the the data was mostly corrupted so I corrected that and saved the map again and the textures worked this time, but now the map name and description doesn't show up in the game. The space is just blank. When I try to create a game with the map the game restarts from the intro movies again. Incredibly odd behavior if you ask me! I'm still open to suggestions on how to fix the trouble.

With the blackness, I bet you used an old ambient light which was either not included in Tribes or altered by one of the patches. Try changing the light parameter and see if that fixes things.
I can't really try to explain the restarting problem without looking at the files myself.

The ambient light is what I guessed too for fixing the black problem.
For the other problem, for some reason the map editor put the map-tag.xdb file in the multiplayer folder instead of the folder with the map's name, so the game was looking in the empty folder for the data. Guess I could have figured the problem out if I had messed round a little more rather than making a post here first.
