I have HOMM3 Complete (Version 4.0) and installed Gameranger 2 days ago. I opened the UDP 16000 port as instructed. And I was able to play an online game.
Then yesterday, I went to my mates flat and opened his port too. Installed gameranger. We have the exact same version of HOMM3.
I went home and tried to play with my mate. I hosted, he joined. I started the game and HOMM3 stucked on beginning screen with an hourglass. We tried a few times more...He tried to host. No success.
Then I joined a complete strangers game to test if everything is ok...And same hourglass beginning screen.
So it was working yesterday and now it does not. If anyone knows how to deal with this problem, we would be grateful.
English is not my main, sorry for grammer and stuff.
Hmmm...
I used to play through GR but I ran into those problems too....maybe you can fix your's through here .... remember when you have GR open just hit F2 to get in the GR community ...hope it works out.
