WoG Help!!
Hi.
I was working on a SoD map for me and my friend to play.
But I accidentally opened it and saved in the WoG map Editor.
Is there anyway I can convert it back to SoD/AB/RoE?

Yes, there is a solution. Open your map in WoG editor, make sure no wog objects/mobs are inside, copy map using WoG Grayface editor patch, start a new SoD map, paste inside upper map, save. Open again your map, copy the underground, paste in the new map.

Is there any available link to the Grayface Editor? Where I can get it without having to download the entire game once more?

Sorry, just couldn't miss your name. Must know, what on Earth made you choose such a name?

1) Unpack h3m-file as gzip-archive (use 7z, for example). You get a file with empty extension.
2) In any hex-editor change first byte to 1Ch (SoD) or 15h (AB) or 0Eh (RoE).
3) Set h3m extension.

If you do understand my name, you'll notice that I am in fact a knight and it's not to be made fun of
And it's a pretty fun name I think!
Thx for the advices.
I'll try them.
I would really like my map to be avaiable in SoD again.

How do I copy it with the updated map editor?
And excuse me for being so stupid on this matter.

Yeah, I saw the link and dowloaded it.
But when I've installed it? Where do I find it? Is it a tool in the Editor or a program?

I just don't get it...
There appears no such thing as a Wog Map Editor Grayface.exe ... I am really stupid on this matter, that's for sure.
Could someone make an idiot-secure screenshot guide?

I got a bit more clever... congrats Ridder Lugtepik, you've become a lvl 2 idiot.
Well, I get it now. But if someone would have said:
[+] Copy Map Area and Paste Map Area buttons added in Obstacle Tool page.
From the beginning I wouldn't have had any trouble finding the copy tool...
And how should I know GrayFace was a username and not a file?

I'm still having trouble pasting it though...
I've copied my entire upper level map, opened the HIII SoD Map Editor
ctrl + v combination does not paste in my map. And the paste button of course appears as unuseable since no objects are selected.

You must make a new SOD map in same WOG editor to make the paste work. I can't help you there as my WOG has not option SOD (some install bug) but only AB and RoE.

Mine doesn't have SoD as a choice neither...
I tried to just create an AB map thinking I hadn't used that many SoD objects. It turns out I had and the map snowed completely.
:s
So if I want the creator to show SoD as an accessable choice I guess I just have to reinstall WoG?

I don't know what the WOG editor overwrites. Does it keeps SOD option along with WoG (not here, but using Heroes complete)?
Anyway, what you need is to have a functional WoG, possibility to save SOD format with this editor. Or just do as It's just me said, it does not seems complicated, a hex editor is easy to find.
Btw, It's just me is who from russian forums?
