Roller Coaster Tycoon
That's right, I'm talking about the best one - RCT 1  .
I just recently rediscovered this awesome game from (IIRC) 1999, and started to play it again on my XP. I remember the time when I played it thru, and finished all scenarios.. Just a moment ago I finished the first scenario (in the beginning there's 5 to choose from, I chose the first one), here are some screenshots of my amazing park:

I have quite a funny story about this one. I made a roller coaster, named it "Rocket" (after the song by Def Leppard). I kinda edited the starting speed (from 40mph to 45mph), and I didn't test it  . When it first started, it threw out the train, exploding. Then I got a message; "18 people died in the accident". Lol, then I destroyed the roller coaster.
And after finishing the first scenario, I bought some land, and built this (just for fun).
Lots of umbrellas.

But anyways, if you happen to have this game (that I love almost as much as Heroes), please tell your opinions about the game here in this thread  .
Now, I need to Get some Sleep!!, it's 2:46 here and it's an early morning  ..

It's one of my all time favourite games as well as the second game in it's series. I have yet to try RCT3 or any of the others but I'm happy with the games that I have. So much fun to be had with them.

Rct3 boils my brain, i don't get it at all. i still play the original one... I've yet to get the second.

RCT3 is alright too, it's fun being able to ride the coasters you design in first person, but still, nothing beats the first one. That one marked my childhood. 
Awkwardly enough, I haven't played the second installment.

You can ride them?
i just don't like the zoo portion(i got the gold? edition)... my animals always escaped.

I've seen a few videos where people in RCT3 just got roller coasters and crashed them. I think that'd be the only entertaining thing with that. Wouldn't beat the older games imo.

I know this isn't about RCT, but with the zoo bit that Mamga mentioned, did anybody play Zoo Tycoon? I always put people in cages and let the animals eat them. Or, when the animals escaped, I put people in there and just never let them out.

Zoo Tycoon's alright, but if you want real sadistic fun with a tycoon game, I recommend Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis...
