Sims 3

Hey. I just had my Sims 3 delivered yesterday afternoon for roughly forty-something dollars plus shipping and naturally, I was so happy to be able to play the game people got so excited about upon its initial release. But lo and behold, when I put the CD into my lap-top, it didn't work. I was so pissed. I'm not sure if this was caused by the OS compatibility issues or the disk itself. But from what I heard, Sims 3 works fine on Windows 7 (my lap-top runs on Windows 7 Ultimate).

So I went online to check the possible reasons out and found hundreds of people who are also having technical difficulties in getting their Sims 3 to work.

It kinda sucks not having my game work, sucks more when you think about the cold cash I paid to get it. To think, I was so excited when I saw the official trailer on Youtube months ago.

But hey, maybe an email to Maxis or a phone call to their technical support wouldn't hurt.

Soo... feel free to discuss any Sims-related topics or any technical issues you may have encountered while installing this damn game. Solutions and suggestions, though, are pretty much welcome.

Hmm sims-related topics you say?

First this talk about some disney popstar girl and now about a sims game? You sure you aren't a girl? Just kidding... LOL

So for those who've played the sims series, how accurate a life simulation would you say it is, or at least what are your thoughts on the matter?

Man, what a sexist way to go... Haha...

Last time I checked, I'm not.

I guess you could play the game yourself to find out how accurate a life simulation it is. IMO, it's not very accurate, obviously.

My sister loves this game. xD She almost 7 years old and she always wants the woman to be good at cooking, cleaning and gardening while her men are always strong and like to work out and watch tv.
Let's just say that I blame the american Disney movies. xD

I once played it a lot and made myself. I was a journalist and digged in the garbage for gossip and infomation lol.

When I play it nowdays, I just want to find creative ways to kill them and torture them. It's like Saw, only that I am the master. My sister hates it and I once killed her character lol.

The funniest i could do in sims 2 was find ways to kill my simses..

So let them swim in a pool, and remove the ladder,, they'll drown..

Make a small room, make a sims go in, and sell the doors to the room. They'll die too..

The biggest problem was to send the next simses to the pool, cuz they where afraid of gosts (My last simses)..

And then i found a mod for violence?? AK's and knifes, but i couldn't get it to work...

But still, sims is quite fun (Not killing) anyways.. There is many opportunities, and my mum plays sims 3, and finds it waayy better than sims 2..

I feel obliged to inform you that I intend to marry your sister in a few years.

Actually, screw that, your bloody liberal Western education is going to ruin her divine sense of morality. I think it's best I travel to like Yemen and marry her right away.

I played Sims 1. It was pretty fun at that time. Aside from mentioned things, I remember I once played with a family of 8 people and it was hard to keep them all alive.
