Favorite Heroes?

What are your favorite heroes for each faction? Please post why they are your favorite. Here are mine:

Haven

Dougal: Having a bunch of archers early on is very useful for creeping.

Ellaine: The peasant and taxpayer ability gives Haven tons of gold.

Rutger: Early logistics and pathfinder really helps in creeping.

Laszlo: The only reason I like this guy is because I like Squires and Vindicators, so I like his ability.

Sylvan

Ossir: Obviously. Arcane Archers are even better now.

Necropolis

Vladimir: I like raising dead, so Vladimir is the best choice for me.

Academy

Galib: I like having the ability to repel magic, even if the chance is small.

Haves: Starting with a ton of archers is fun, especially when their stats increase for every 2 of your levels.

Dungeon

Lethos: Lethos crushes! It is so fun to have him cast the spell in the beggining of the battle.

Vayshan: I like using Assasins, and so having a hero who specialises in them. He also starts out with nice luck.

Inferno

Marbas: Magic resistance is always cool, and he just looks cool...

Fortress

Ebba: I like Bear Riders, and so Ebba appears...

Ingvar: A great tank, withthe Shieldguard bonus, defense and vitality.

Stronghold

Gorhsak: He has a nice starting ability, and starts off with advanced blood rage instead of basic.

Urghat: She's good for creeping in the beggining.

Kragh: Kragh is useful if you rely on your hero, which I do.

Haven:
Dougal - One of your best bets to survive early raids
Klaus - In a huge epic map, Klaus will be Haven's trump card with all that hordes of Champions

Sylvan:
Ossir - Pretty obvious.
Wyngaal - Crystal dragons will wreak havoc under his lead.

Don't really play the rest. =x

Agreed with all of the above.

For Sylvan I also like Vinrael.  While intelligence is not the best perk for rangers, starting with enlightenment at first level is nice, and his ability is equally potent.  when I use him as my main he is invariably the highest leveled hero by the endgame.

My Favorites are:

- Maeve: Quite possibly my favorite Hero of them all. I just love how quickl she can get to Retribution + Divine Guidance + her haste is almost broken endgame

- Ossir: That one should be obvious

- Haggash: Another Obvious one. She's the most powerful Hero in the game.

- Kaspar: I admit that he sucks (or rather: the War Machines skill), but I do love the creeping without any casualties, like EVER.

- Gilraen: I've got a soft spot for him, as he's the first hero I successfully finished a single-player game with. (using Dark and Rain of Frenzy ^_^)

- Dirael: Summoning Magic is really exotic on Rangers, and her Rain of Wasp Swarm Ensures the Enemy NEVER acts. (I would recommend Swift Mind and Empathy, tho)

- Nur: A Mana Pool that NEVER empties, starts with Eldritch Arrow, can learn MotW at the second level... basically I creep the larger portion of the map with just 60 gremlins and 10 gargs. Easy

- Grok: LOVE the cheap teleport

- Vayshan: My personal favorite in Dungeon, although he isn't the best Warlock (that honor goes to another favorite of mine, being...)

- Lethos: Rage-Eater. Nuff' said.

That's my Top 10, which I would rank like this (in terms of how much I like them, not overal usefulness)

1) Maeve
2) Haggash
3) Nur
4) Vayshan
5) Lethos
6) Grok
7) Ossir
8) Dirael
9) Gilraen
10) Kaspar
