Hello everybody I'm a Chinese WoG fan from Baidu Heroes Community.
Hi Everybody,
I'm from China, Baidu Community of HoMM. Yesterday I played the game Stargate Atlantis which another player in China provided for me. It's brilliant.
I think it's really wonderful for me to see Chinese players SongFX and Yunings in the new Add-on. I hope that somebody could make one more Chinese map - I mean I'd like to see if there can be more Chinese cultural stuffs in it.
Besides Liu Bei, there are also many other old heroes in China. Song Jiang, Yue Fei, Qin Qiong are also very famous. Their stories are very interesting and attractive, I'm sure you would like them. Maybe you can read the books about the stories if you are interested in it, then you can make more wonderful maps.
There are also some other famous HoMM 3 and WoG players in China. Among them, the greatest one is Qiannian Sun, whose name stands for old bamboo shoot. He is remained as our leader. There are also some other great players from Chinese Baidu Community, including:
Chuan Qiang de Bimeng. His name stands for Ghost Behemoth. He had been our leader for a couple of years.
Ayoyun. She does well in painting. She is one of the greatest artists among the Chinese players.
Yi Jingling Shuidi. She once was our leader. She is also a great artist who has really imaginative thoughts.
Weiya Feixue. His name stands for "the Snowflakes Flying Atop the Dangerous Cliff" (Quite poetic, huh?). He is one of the greatest SoD player in China.
DDPro. I don't need to introduce him, because obviously many people know him well here. He introduced your patch to us Chinese players.
Woodmelon. As everybody here knows, he is the maker of "TDS". He is an ERM expert and a great map maker.
GB'. He is also an expert in ERM and mapmaking. He made the map "Mars".
ZZY007. He is he first HoMM 3 Modder in China.
Upasia. WoG player.
Kezhao. The most enthusiastic WoG player.
Shengcun Yu Zunyan.
Heilong Shouhushen (BDPro). The above two are also former leaders of us.
Sphinx Aines.
Stephen 25.
Weiouduzun.
The Tears of Sphinix.
The people I mentioned are all great players. I know them so much that I can introduce them to you if anybody is interested. If anybody can make a map about them, it may hold a huge upsurge among the Chinese players!
OK, must go now. Sorry for my poor English. I hope that everybody can understand. I'm really looking forward to see a new map with Chinese cultural elements!

I was in talk with SongFx and Yexian some time ago about making a WoG conversion to "Romance of the Three Kingdoms". Merely because it was my preferred game on Nintendo years ago.
I loved playing with Lu Bu, Zhao Wei, Guan Yu for Cao Cao glory. Would be an awesome project because China story is much older and unique than most other nations, but unfortunatelly for me, the documentation about the proper sources and fact are only in chinese, therefore it is quite impossible to get them. So I switched to easier projects.
But if any of you want to do such campaign, I have for him 100 chinese style animate buildings (even the Great Wall!), and all generals + full done chinese army models from that period. So half of the work is done.

I have Romance of Three Kingdoms game series from I - XI ( of cource i have faces and items from them too) , i have Romance of Three Kingdoms novel in English, what i can help you ???

I have them too. But the problem is other: creating an even slightly distorted story about this subject will hurt our chinese friends, as they are very sensitive about "The Romance". So it needs to be perfect, from historical sources and not from a novel. I think that only them can make it, it is a language problem.

So glad to hear about that.
I've read the Romance of Three Kingdoms a couple of years ago, so I think I may be able to help - If only I have the time to that... Also I will go to some Chinese communities to seek help for this project.
By the way, a slightly distorted story won't hurt the feeling of us Chinese players - actually the "Three Kingdoms" television drama is also distorted, comparing to the original novel. So you don't have to worry about that.

Far as i know, chinesse forum do not have someone balance like you at this time, they are map maker or artist, not all like you. To make a team and work together may be harder than do it all alone coz take time to talk and talk, to discuss and dicsuss. And true history even we can not know what is true, all from ppl form acient time write it down, then may be mistake, missing .. so on. Go to http://kongming.net/ i have some good history story here but not all. With MAGIC i think we can go with NOVEl with some MAGIC included. And recommend Three kingdoms: a historical novel - Moss Robert Unabridged Edition for Ref.

So what we have here: Salamandre, a noob in chinese history but who extracted and animated 100+ buldings in chinese style + armies + generals. On the other side, many very good mapmakers and chinese. Why should I always do everything from a to z

When I click on that link, I have suddenly sympathy for you, when visiting english forums and how you feel.
I see you guys made a whole thread for providing translation for those posts you made here.

Coz you are best in many fields  ERM, artish, map maker ...

ERM is not needed to get a very good map. In fact, most if not the totality of ERM made- even very complex-maps are way behind some HoMM maps still at top.
Story, map layout, balance, progression, things that a programmer is unable to find if he has not a very long HoMM experience and talented in different fields.

Hi, so many people are talking about "Romance of the Three Kingdoms".
I believe Salamandre is the best WOG mapmaker in the world. If you decide to make a map based on this story, it will be much exciting.
We have many SOD maps and campaigns of different versions about "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" in china.
I think if a wog map to be made based on this story, it should be a big compaign, because there are so many stories to be mentioned.
