2 per Expansion would be great since I miss Conflux ALOT, stupid H5 wizards stole their grail power. They would make a great Neutral Faction, and an ideal race for summoning magic.

Heavens above, you actually liked that pathetic excuse of a faction?

I actually liked Conflux. Sure, it was not flawless, but I am not against the idea of a faction with an elemental theme.

Nor am I, I just thought that the lineup was a pile of junk thrown together in a half-hearted attempt to make a viable 'magical' faction. The fact that the elementals were the base creatures rather than the upgrades, and the fact that all of the Planeswalkers were elemental and all had creature-boost specialties didn't help matters.

Two factions per expansion doesn't sound an unreasonable amount. Since people at Ubisoft have decided to invest heavily into the M&M universe it is probably safe to assume that they have already established all 10 races of Ashan pre Herose5, well atleast that's what I would do.
Since we're talking about a prequel to H5 it's not unlikeliy that the story of the expansions will have nothing to do with the original story of H6. If for example the story of H6 will be about the rise of Necromancy and some other obligatory Demon invasion (seriously can't they make a game without it?) than an expansion could include the two previously unplayable factions serving Shalassa and Sylath, while another one could be about the separation of the Darkelves.
From Ubi's point of view it's not about whether they can do two factons per expansion or not, because really it's not that big of a deal coming up with creatures if the basic layout in Ashans history is given. What's really important is do they want this game to be the flagsip of the M&M universe, a game that features all of Ashans factions, a game that will last for many years and can create a community the size you would only expect from one of the Blizzard franchises. If so than they can not allow mistakes the kind they made with Hof and Tote and need to keep the game more balanced.

I voted "yay", because it sounds like they do want to include all ten factions in this installment, and I'd rather not wait four years to play as a Wizard again. But, to be honest, I think a 2-faction expansion makes more sense in some cases than a 1-faction expansion. If the events are taking place in the same timeline, the last thing a Haven army wants after winning a war with the Inferno is take on a new challenger with the Orcs. At the same time, an expansion with two new factions, where we learn a little bit about the way the Elves and Dark Elves interact, could be very compelling, and would give an interesting backdrop for the rest of the factions to fall into.
I predict a total of three expansions, though, if there really are ten factions; and I suspect that either Academy or Naga will be on its own in one of them.
