A few creature graphics, in need of animating...
These are the creature graphics I collected on the internet - right now they are all dim and un-animated. Actually people made them just for fun. What a comedic surprise will be if somebody could make DEF files of these creatures?

Yep. Most of the creatures in "Possible Creature" thread are not animated (and that's a pity). I think these should be animated as well.

Gosh, hand-made animation! Is there any idea to add these to the 3DS MAX programme?
Btw that Salamander amazes me - was it made by Val?

You can't add screens in 3D max. It can only process existing 3D models, or make new. For making new in Max is as hard as making by hand, but the result is much better (see Alex-ander models).
The models you see in the "praaetorian" thread are not made by me, but professional modelers working for various well known game companies. I am only extracting them and adapt to Heroes animations, sizes and textures.

Why not, just think at child stories when a dark witch curses a young and beautiful girl to become a doctor Hide kinda but forgot to remove the wings.
Umm...maybe it looks strange indeed. Better huge claws on a sprite.

i know it's easy to make this .gif into a .def, but this version is not very good/needs improvement + i was talking about the other creatures too, who doesnt have any other animation AFAIK.

Well, it must have taken many weird projects until most os creature makers started ripping from other games (which are imo worse...).
I though lately about introducing Scluptris an amazingly easy program to make 3D models (here's video that shows it LINK).
I hope that 3D made creatures would become a standard one day...

Having good 3D models is not hard, there are laying around hundreds of them, easy to modify. It is the animations which are hard to do and require long years of practice.
So far PS models outside 3D programs have awful animations. Working with bones is the only way to get a professional looking animation, I think. Sculptris looks easy in that video, but don't let it fool. Getting the right parameters for each brush is as hard as extruding correctly in 3D max.

Well... I may be wrong, but if someone will enjoy 3D moddeling and after some time will start to make good models I am sure that he would learn how to animate things.
Imo most problems are with beginning, and now when moddeling is so easy it's much easier to start...
