Anno 1602 concept map + newbie questions
I don't know if you played the game, but Anno 1602 is one of the coolest games I played!Only heroes 3 is better hehe.
I was thinking,it would be fun if someone could make a replica for heroes 3,i think there are some people that would enjoy it.
The problem is i don't know if it is possible,or if it is,i think a lot of effort is needed for making it,but i will share some of my ideas, feel free to share yours!
*Players start by boat
*They have to choose islands to land
*On the isnals there are a lot of *castles*,the map can work only if you implement the rebuild mecanism. There are some places when you can build houses and things like those, you have to pay a fee so the house is built. At some places you can build other stuff, such as mines...
*the player gets food each day from buildings, but the houses(castles)take each day,if the ballance reaches 0 the player lost!
Well these are only my ideas, some may think they are dumb but i gave it a try.I think it would be interesting to see a city builder concept in H3,that is not focused so much on war.

That's not how 1602 works. You get food from hunting and fishing. To get money you have to sell goods to natives. To get more people you have to provide special goods as furs, diamonds, clothes etc. You must take ownership of the islands around and exploit their resources, then get them back in mainland by automatizing ships. You pay an exponential increasing tribute to the mother land, until you decide to proclaim independence.
I see no problems doing most of things of it, but automatizing ships and building objects without fixed type/subtype is impossible.

You get most money from taxes,if you keep your people happy they give you money.maybe we are not talking about the same Anno?there are about 5 i think, and the old ones are very similar. What do you think of this idea?would someone play it?

I played a lot 1602 and 1704. Amazing game. As always, the problem will be the amount of work to put in. At least one year. Creating a new economy system is always long and tricky.

How can i make a Campaign map?i create the separate maps and then i join them together with the map editor?
If i use the Editor from salamandre, with the custom objects and monsters, will everybody be able to see them?
