I was searching for new sounds for creatures and a nice idea stroke me... In fact, i was searching for new succubus sounds and i realized that original Heroes III has only one girly sound creature (Pixie and Sprite) and there wasn't any Evil Girl sound on it.
Then I remembered that Diablo had a Succubus too. And I found a Diablo viewer to work with sounds HERE. The viewer I posted on the first page of this thread doesn't really work that good with sounds and it crashes when you try to extract them.
This new utility (is said) to extract anything found in diablo's mpq files. I will demonstrate how to extract sounds. Just extract the rar's components on any folder and run the viewer.exe. This window will show up:
Press Load and find the Diablo - Hellfire folder on your computer and open any mpq file, let's say Diabdat.mpq which has the most of the archives. A large list will show up:
The only frustrating thing about this utility is that it doesn't actually works with folders (as any windowed application) but just lays all the files found within. Still, you can find the ones you want. Every file name starts with the folder name it is in.
In my example, i needed the Succubus sound effects (for getting hit, killed etc) and so i go to the monsters section of the list (it's near the end). Then i find the succubus sounds which are found in monsters/succ/ directory:
By double clicking on it, or by clicking save, there is a popup window. Choose the directory where you want to save it, the name of the file and ***IMPORTANT*** choose the file extension (in this case .wav) because it won't do it by itself.
You may do this for every other sound in the game. You may find the hauntingly inspired diablo town theme and use it for battle or towns musics.
Remember, to use the wav files in Heroes III you have to rename the wav extension to 82M and rename the file name accordingly too. There are walkthroughs in this Forum on how you use wav files in WOG.
If anyone has a link on such a walkthrough please post it.

There's nothing weird about it... It's just the couch from a picture of the (hotter than hot) Actress/Vampire Slayer Sara Michele Gellar:
As for the Diablo units the program to rip them is in the first page but most of their animation is kind of outdated (in comparisson to the Heroes III animations). I just added a programm for the sounds of Diablo.

I am already in the process of ripping them myself
By the way, do you made some units from Diablo?
Or have you stopped?
What I need now - is a Diablo himself. Did you do his DEF?
