Co-Op vs AI maps?
Hey,
It's been too long. Anyway, i came to ask if anyone knew of co-op campaign maps in HoMM 5 TotE or just custom maps where you and your friend can be in a team versus AI (or other team)?
This is not same as tournament/ladder games, just normal custom/co-op maps. So, anyone know somethign?
PS: Also, custom team or co-op maps for the original Heroes 5 game would be nice too.

I did it a couple times, I believe there was an co-op ubi map for HoF.
Any map can be made co-op by using the editor. I'm sure someone who remembers how will be along shortly.

I found several on maps4heroes.com that were pretty good.
The easiest way, as mentioned above, is to just edit the map with the map editor.
Assuming you know how to open a map in the editor, just go to the map properties and on the teams tab (View->Map Properties->Teams) you can set how many teams there are and which team each player is on. I usually change the map name or description as well so I know what players are on what team. Then make sure to use the Save As command so you don't mess up the original map.

RMG Map as Random Team Map?
Hey,
Is there a way to make a random map into a team map (or random team map) without it removing RMG feature (so, others won't have to have copies)?

Does it copy the map automatically when it's checked as RMG? (I've never tried that). I do know that if you change an rmg map it forces you to uncheck the RMG feature.
I imagine if RMG is checked it simply sends the random seed to each player and the map is generated on their computer as well. Thus saving time on slow networks.
If this was true it wouldn't work being able to automatically share an edited map (Heroes 5 maps are small enough I don't know why they don't automatically copy them when you start a game!)
When I play multplayer I use Remobo (sort of like Hamachi but easier to run) You can easily share files with it, everybody just copies the files over before the game starts.
