My ERM ideas.
I've been playing some new maps and that gave me some really cool ERM-based ideas.
But my ERM skills are quite poor (though I can ADJUST already made scripts) - so I'm asking for YOUR help to make the SIMPLE examples that I'm gonna re-make into what I actually want.
Let's start.
#1. "Random lightning strike"
Whenever a BATTLE action is performed, a randomly (OR specifically) selected creature gets hit with a spell.
Can be applied for both good and bad spells, in different situations, etc.
Also, should be linked to having something specific - either a creature OR an artifact (or both).
Example: Titan casting a Chain Lightning after his strike.
Note: NOT Stack EXP based!!! Just ERM!
(Why? Simple - example: Angel vs Demon invokes specific additional spell effects.)
#1A. "Explosive Field"
Same, but applied to random field positions rather than stacks.
Imagine - Implosion suddenly hitting your own units! Or Blessing the enemy.
#1B. "Time runs fast"
Same, but NOT action-activated, rather TIME-activated.
Not sure this is even possible...
Like, play your game quicker, or you'll get Armageddon-ed!
Example: A trigger that counts time from your last action - and suddenly "BOOM"!
#2. "Digivolving Creatures"
I know it sounds funny, but just IMAGINE: "Angel WOG-evolves tooo... Archangel"!!!
What I mean is - changing stack monsters in-battle.
Preferably reversable.
Best - with effects like Prayer WHILE changing!
Trigger logic same as above.

Seriously, having a random creature get upgraded and getting hit with armageddon because you took your time to battle better would not be the most popular scripts around. You are alone on this. In general, scripters avoid using random things in battle because it hurts those who know how to play and force the reload.

Actually the idea of a random lightning bolt in a battle seems quite humorous to me.
Anyway, somebody, I think you should have a good look at this topic by Salamandre. It's very informative about ERM in battles and I'm sure it will help you to find out how to create that script you want. Good luck!

OK, I looked through the "Metamorphs" (script56.erm) and ended up with this:

I finally got it to work BELOW.
Anyways, I'd appreciate any hint as to how switch monster GRAPHICS (def actually) while in-battle.

THIS works!!!
Not exactly what I wanted, but, yeah, it WORKS!!!
Now changes Angels to Archangels.
Gonna test a double-evolution into SAs too.
Gonna change it a bit soon, for better graphical view.
The question remains: How to switch monster graphics in-battle???

Hmm, I don't have the answer. But you can try looking into the werewolf-script, if there is any. If the werewolf bites an enemy, the enemy can change into a werewolf too. So actually the DEF file has been switched in battle, just like what you need.
And for the record, you can disable smileys somewhere... so you don't have to separate : from P all the time.
