I just want to understand correctly here. Are you saying it will play like this:
H1
Paladin wins
Ogre wins
Phoenix wins
Gargoyle wins
Genie wins
In round two we have to pick our favourite from Paladin, Ogre, Phoenix, Gargoyle and Genie?
Then the same for H2 and onwards? therefore creating the most popular creature from each Heroes game.
Round three is then a choice between the top 5?

Round one: all creatures participate
Round two: at least two creatures from each faction participate
Round three: at least one creature from each faction participates
"at least" because creatures with the same number of votes pass. At the end of each round I will post the list with the number of votes.

Knight - Paladin all the way! the Cavalier was a small man, yuck!
Barbarian - Troll all the way. Ogre is just a brown caveman. I thought it was a caveman when I played with it. I used to call it the Caveman.
Sorceress - Phoenix most of the way. Campared to the giant fire chicken, Unicorn is too much of a boring horse.
Warlock - Hydra by the width of a proton.
Neutral - Genie. I like magic carpets.
Heroes 2
Knight - Crusader.
Wizard - Arch Mage. Just looked so damn cool.
Warlock - Hydra.
Barbarian - Cyclops all the way.
Sorceress - Phoenix. Elf cannot compete with its majesty.
Necromancer - Bone Dragon. Like the idea. Love the sounds.
Neutral - Genie.
Heroes 3
Castle - Arch Angel.
Tower - Naga Queen. Titans in H2 were so boring looking and sounding.
Inferno - Efreet Sultan.
Fortress - Greater Basilisk.
Rampart - Grand Elf.
Dungeon - Scorpicore.

Necropolis - Dread Knight. Vampires in H3 were like Titan^ and their regenation sounded like boxes falling down the stairs.

Neutral - Azure Dragon. Faerie Dragon lost out because of its boring sounds and unimpressive spells.

Life - Crusader. Shame, I really like the Monks, they hit themselves on the head with planks.
Might - Cyclops. Thunderbird was weeeaaak.
Order - Genie. That Create Illusion spell was a battlebreaker. Best Titans in HOMM history though.
Death - Bone Dragon. Frighning! Vampire was too quiet and his sucking attack was the wrong colour.
Chaos - Efreet. Dislike them both.
Nature - Faerie Dragon. BRING IT BAAAAACK!!!
Neutral - Ice Demon. Who doesn't like the freeze?

Knight - Paladin
Barbarian - Troll (sorry Hagrid )
Sorceress - Phoenix (though I like the Unicorn too)
Warlock - Hydra (it was so cute, though that Griffin design is very interesting IMO)
Neutral - Genie (turbans and magic carpets FTW )
Heroes 2
Knight - Crusader
Wizard - Arch Mage (he looked the most powerful out of all HOMMs, and I prefer the H3 & H4 Titans)
Warlock - Black Dragon (since I voted Hydra in H1, and like them equally)
Barbarian - Wolf (though I liked the Troll as well)
Sorceress - Phoenix (Very nice design and dying animation)
Necromancer - Bone Dragon (I love Bone Dragons, and the H2 one had the best design and sounds, along with the H4 one, BRING IT BACK IN H6!)
Neutral - Genie (good Genie design, like all HOMMs except for the headless H5 one, they should attack by magic, not swords )
Heroes 3
Castle - Royal Griffin (however I loved the Archangel too, I just vote for Griffin to give him a chance, since most people will go for Archangel probably)
Tower - Naga Queen (the best and most beautiful Naga design, Titan was good too, with the Greek armour, but H4 one is the best IMO)
Inferno - Efreet Sultan (BRING HIM BACK!though I loved them all, the Devil was the best out of all HOMMs: tall, slim, looking sophisticated, but most importantly INTELLIGENT, what the H5 one lacks; the Cerberus was really nice and sturdy-looking)
Fortress - Greater Basilisk (though I obviously liked the Mighty Moo as well, the Basilisk's design was really fitting and simply adorable, BRING THE H3 FORTRESS BACK!)
Rampart - War Unicorn (my favourite Unicorn design, and not that I don't like Elves, I'm just generally more of a mythical non-human creature lover )
Dungeon - Medusa Queen (OMG what a hard choice, I loved all; the Minotaur deserves to come back with such a design, not like H5; the Evil Eye is just so funny and weirdly attractive, and Manticore with an ACTUAL LION FACE-I would have preferred the H6 Lamassu if it was like that, BRING THEM BACK!)
Stronghold - Ancient Behemoth (just because it was a far better design than the stupid H4 monkey, I love the Thunderbird too, BRING THEM BACK!)
Necropolis - Dread Knight (really fearful looking, the Vampire was badly designed and looked more like a Ghoul IMO they looked the best in H2 and H4, and OMG I hate the H6 one  )
Conflux - Phoenix (Magic Elemental was great too with the Hydra-like attack and defend animation, but the Phoenix wins for me as IMO it was the best design so far, the upgrade might have had a bit too many flames though. BRING THEM BACK! and not as some crappy neutrals that you can never recruit )
Neutral - Faerie Dragon (because I love these guys, both in H3 and H4, they break the stereotyped theme of Dragons as brutal beasts, BRING THEM BACK!. The Azure Dragon was good but it was just a common Dragon, only with a blue colour)
Heroes 4
Life - Monk (though the Angel and Crusader were OK, they have better incarnations in other HOMMs, and I prefer the kind of Monks like H3 and H4 from the H5 one)
Might - Thunderbird (though the Cyclops was badass, I just always love Thunderbirds, and the purple design in H4 I found great and innovative, BRING THEM BACK!)
Order - Titan (I would have chosen Genie, because it was one of the best designs, along with their spellcasting ability, but THIS IS THE WAY TITANS SHOULD LOOK  )
Death - Bone Dragon (even though I consider this Vampire to be the best one yet, not to mention that the Vampire Bat animation is way more climatic than teleportation, the Bone Dragon looked the best yet, maybe equal to H2, one of my favourite units, BRING THEM BACK!)
Chaos - Nightmare (I like them equally, but I voted Efreet in H3, and I like the Nightmare very much, as well as it's H5 incarnation; a bit like a evil counterpart of Unicorn, similarily to Genie and Efreet, BRING THEM BACK! )
Nature - Faerie Dragon (as I mentioned before, I adore Faerie Dragons and the H4 one was even better with abilities like Magic Mirror, I like the Phoenix too of course, but the H4 design wasn't the greatest, BRING THEM BACK!)
Neutral - Sea Monster (funny, as these two are probably my favourites, I loved the Ice Demon with it's design and cool abilities, but I vote for the Sea Monster, apart from the Devour ability, it's design maybe didn't succeed as being fearsome, but it surely was very interesting, especially the lightbulb on their head, and their movement animation was just amusing, but in a good way, some redesigning and they'd be even better because they surely have potential, BRING THEM BACK!)
Heroes 5
Haven - Angel (gender could be either male or female, IMO both the H3 male one and the H5 female one worked out great, I love the Griffin, but I simply didn't like the H5 design )
Sylvan - Treant (I'm a big fan of these mysterious and unique creatures, resembling the Lord of the Rings Ents and they fit this faction really well, the Druids were also good, but I'd change their design to be a compromise between H5 and H2)
Academy - Rakshasa Raja (they are absolutely GREAT, and if Naga get their own faction in H6, I certainly hope the Rakshasa Raja will stay in Academy, their design is awesome and shouldn't be changed; the Titan was good as well, but the H4 one wins for me.)
Fortress - Fire Dragon (shame the Rune Priest didn't go through, however the Magma Dragon is IMO a very suiting and top-notch design, inspite of what I see a lot of players say about them, I liked them a lot and actually wouldn't call them "Dragons" but something more unique so people complaining about the numerous Dragons in H5 would be satisfied)
Inferno - Nightmare (even though I liked all three, but the Succubus and Pit Lord are known to be returning in H6 LOOKING BETTER THAN EVER  , the Nightmare is a creature I'd surely want to see again, and I would go for a design that's between the H4 and H5 one, BRING THEM BACK!)
Dungeon - Minotaur (even though I personally consider that Black Dragon to be one of the berst ones yet, I vote for Minotaur...of course they should be a few tiers higher and not slaves. I'd also make them a bit taller-overall, apart from the stupid slave theme, their design was quite good )
Necropolis - Wight (it was nice to see such a creature make a debut appearance in HOMM, and the Vampires didn't look powerful enough, not to menion their stupid ponytail, inappriopriate attack using a sword, and lack of Vampire Bat animation, unfortunately the H6 Vampire looks even more stupid and lame )
Stronghold - Cyclops (I actually think that Cyclops can go either way: attacking from a distance throwing stones, or being melee, the H5 one did both I also preferred the Bloodeyed Cyclops' attack animation with the eye beam, though I'm not a big fan of the whole Stronghold faction being half-demon, I mean wth Cyclops with hooves as feet? As for the Slayer, he was a good orc melee unit, though his position could have been taken by an Ogre, I would remove the tier 3 as well )
Neutral - Mummy (because it actually had personality with the maniac like stance and movement animation, sounds it made, and the spellcasting ability. The Phoenix, Death Knight, and Manticore were also OK, but all of them are nothing compared to their previous incarnations, especially the Manticore which I loved in H3, wth did they do to its face?  )
