In terms of fighting a challenging and intelligent (as opposed to largely cheating) AI, would it be better to play HoMM 5 with this mod or HoMM 6?

I would go for this mod and Heroes 5. AI from EE doesn't cheat (Quantomas did magnificent job), and I belive that Heroes 6 AI cheats.

It depends on personal preference. I adore HoMM V TOE, and the EE mod is fantastic because it tremendously speeds up AI turns. For me the mod hasn't increased the AI's difficulty level much yet.
In terms of cheating, we've been told the goal of the finished EE mod is that it won't cheat. But I'm not sure how far along they are with that in the current (now nearly 2 years old) build.

i've installed the mod but menus looks disordered and ai playing time is INCREASED. Anyone knows the mod that increases AI PLAYING SPEED ?

It sounds like something went wrong for you then... as the AI turns go MUCH faster with this mod, in addition it takes advantage of dual core processors which speeds things up even more.

Ok ok i realized ai plays too fast but my problem is multiplayer (the important one)
today i've tried this mod with my friend but we realized computer turns increased greatly with this mod. Few turns later we decided to create from normal game and again we realized computers plays faster than the mod.

In-game Screen Rez needs to be 1280 X 960 4/3 ratio.

ok resolution is no problem but my problem is ok this mod is really good and thanks again for this wonderful mod. AI playtime is better than the vanilla in "Single player" BUT ai playing speed still longer in "Multi player" games. Is there no solution

Multiplayer isn't supposed to work at all, other than hot-seat. It is on the list as a feature to fix in future patches.
