"Die!" Ares shouted as he lept out of the elevator and released a stream of bullets to both of their heads.

The Vice president went down instantly. When the second bullet slammed into his head his body stopped twitching. The speaker of the house, on the other hand, dodged with inhuman speed, throwing himself behind his chair.
When Ares had to reload he yelled out, "Was it Greed or Pride who sent you?"

Ares stopped, uncertaintly drawing his sword. "Who are you? I'll tell you who sent me if you tell me who you are."

"You want to know who I am, Big Brother?" the Speaker asked. "Fine. I'm Wrath. Unlike most of you... I age. I'm going to die from that soon anyway, but I thought that I could at least see the first of our species on the throne of the world. After all I've done for him, if Greed sent you, that would be the ultimate irony.

Ares smiled. "How did you guess, big brother? Greed did indeed send me. I didn't know you were a Homoluncus, but I can take you anyway. So, en garde!" With that, Ares leapt forward, swinging his sword, while launching a fireball at Wrath.

Wrath didn't move as the fire ball slammed into him. The fire wrapped itself around the Humunculi like a protective shell, the sword, on the other hand, cut him from the shoulder to the diaphragm, sending the aged Homunculi to his knees.
"Wait, please! Let me call my family before you kill me..." The old man pleaded.

"Homolunci have no family. Good bye, Wrath." Ares sliced his head off without a trace of regret. 'Family' he thought. 'A Homoluncus with a family? It was better to finish him off.'

Pride was waiting for Ares when he came back. She didn't say or do anything except turn on the television.
"In recent news a horrific event has struck the national republican party today as both the vi-" The newsman was cut off when Pride turned off the television.
"You did good, little brother. Your reward is on the table." She gestured to the rather large table in front of the fire place. "You'll find it more then enough for the service you performed. (It's about $500million American) And that is only the first job that I have for you. If you agree to become my personal assassin, that is."

Ares thought for a little. Why not? So far, it seemed easy, and he got lots of cash. "I'm in. When's my next job?" he said, taking the suitcase.

"For now? Anyone who tries to spy on me. I'll give you a better and more interesting job soon, though." Pride assured him. "Oh, also, forget that Wrath had a family. Homunculi aren't meant to." She turned the television back on.
"What?!" The reporter asked, both stunned and shocked. "The Speaker's family is-"
She turned the set off again. "As far as anyone know or cares, Wrath had no family. Speaker of the house Joseph Malard had a family. As far as anyone else cares, Homunculi can't have children. Right?"

Two days have passed since the assassination. Nothing much really happened in the world, other than the American government frantically trying to hunt down the assassin and Polec being assigned to the North Korea border.
Of course, today would be different.
Greed was walking through the city with Dolend, enjoying the sights smells and sounds of what would be the base of his new kingdom. "Ah yes, Dolend, this place makes me feel rather a bit younger. though, a lot less calmer I must admit." He told his second.
"Indeed, sir. Wellington works like that, sir." Dolend answered quickly.
Greed turned his head and gave him the look. "Don't try sucking up, boy. It didn't work well for your predecessors either." the human looked decidedly more uncomfortable. "But I do have to admit that a place like this does make me feel more..."
"Alive, sir?" Dolend suggested.
"Shut up you fool, don't you hear that?" Greed asked him.
"What? I don't hear anything... Wait, what is that loud ringing-" He stopped talking as Greed ran down the streets, but not so fast that a human might get suspicious. "Ah hell." Dolend murmured and ran after his boss.
Greed found the source of the sirens as he rounded the next city block. A fire was burning in one of the lower floors of the apartment. More and more emergency response vehicles were pulling into the apartment's parking lot and allot of people were running out in a panic. Greed didn't hesitate as he ran in. You can never let a good chance for some positive PR pass you by...
Dolend stopped just short of the doors as he was driven back by the smoke. "D@mn it, G! Don't get yourself killed in there!"
(Hint hint, Mv, this is the city your character(s?) are in...)
"Sir! We have rather allot of paperwork to finish before we can legally take this submersible vessel from the military!" An assistant cried out.
Volkim looked up from the porthole of the sub and asked his head assistant, "Did you hear something?"
"No sir."
"Good!" The scientist exclaimed before closing the hatch behind him. "Look sharp, gentlemen! We have an Atlantis to discover before the Japs!" The scientists cheered.
"Umm... Sir?" A very small and frightened secretary stuck a trembling hand through Fraud's door. "I h-have a rep-p-port that yo-ou might want-t to s-s-s-see..."

Fraud looked up from his newspaper.
The benefit-dinner a few nights ago was a great succes and many donations were made to the Lord-Byrnes-Fund. Of-course the fund was not an actual charity, even though it looked and was promoted like one. It was a slush-fund that injected money into one of Fraud's foreign bankaccounts.
The assinations to the American Republicans were unfortunate. The coservatives were always more inclined to let companies like Fraud's to do whatever they pleased. The Vice-President in particular was someone Fraud knew personal and who had helped his companies in the past.
"By all means, come in and show me." Fraud said to his secretary.

She put the report on Fraud's desk. A little note on it said, "Happy Birthday Little Brother!" On the first page of the report it said, "don't Get in my way." (I'll HCM you on what the report contains)

Fraud leafed through the report. Slowly a smile started to form beneath his mustache. He pulled out a sheet of paper, wrote something on in and stuck it between the folder.
He called in his secretary again and handed her the report.
"Return this to the sender please. And attach a polite note telling the sender not to bother me with such trivialities. And do not worry dear. I don't 'shoot the messenger'. And you'd be hard to replace, so keep up the good work."

Greed was holding the unconscious child from the building fire protectively to his chest. He strode through the apartment complex without any apparent worry. Mere fire couldn't kill him, and the support structures of this building were entirely too strong to let the building collapse around his head. Hmph. I'll have to do something about that...
He laughed and shook his head. "Anyone else still in here?" A muffled cry came from a room to the right. "God damn tourists..." The door was blocked off by a small pile of burning ruble. With a grunt and a backhand that could dent a tank, Greed sent the obstruction flying. His hand reassembled itself as Greed kicked the door down. A small man gave him a frightened and pained look from below a piece of the ceiling's infrastructure. Greed threw the chunk of metal off of him. "You should be dead... Little brother." The homunculus looked up at Greed in shock.
The firstborn Homunculus picked up his wounded brethren and walked to the front door. As he passed one of the central support structures a stairway he set both of the people he was currently rescuing from a very painful fiery death and hit it in five separate places, cracking it down about five feet up and down on that flight. He repeated this on the next four meeting points between the stairs and the support column, leaving it bent in and groaning. It wouldn't cause the building to fall on his head, but it would make said building break under its own weight in about an hour. With the fire, about twice that fast.
Greed made sure that the right side of his shirt had just started to catch fire before he ran out, holding both victims. Panting and coughing, he brought the girl to the paramedics. "Smoke *Cough* smoke inhalation. This one's fine."
"Sure! Thanks G!" The paramedic closed up the ambulance doors. "Are you sure that you're all right?"
When the man's hand touched Greed's arm, a flash of blood lust burned through him. A heart beating. Blood pounding. Warmth. human BLOOD! His shoulders stiffened as he held himself back. "I'm fine. Go away." Greed growled, keeping his instincts intact.
The paramedic took his hand off, and decided to follow Greed's advice. Dolend talked with the man, explained a few things, and everyone left happier than before. That's why I'm going to make sure you live through the upcoming purge. "Dolend! My favored second. Come right over here." Dolend shrugged and followed his orders. "I want you to meet something that isn't human."
Dolend jumped, and almost missed the received text. He pulled out his phone and read the "Level one" message. "Sir?"
Greed snapped the Homunculus's neck to keep it stunned for a while longer. "He'll be fine. What is it?" Dolend choked, but showed him the message anyway. This is what the message said:
Quote: Is that all? You'll have to try harder than that.
Greed smiled again. "So they got my fax. Excellent. Oh, little brother you don't know what bag you pulled the cat from. Dolend, send the message, 'Sure', back, with the other twenty files that I authorized to be released."
Stretching, Greed gave a good yawn and lay back. "This is going to be fun."

It was quite a bit later when Fraud got the return mail. Again his secretary brought it to him and Fraud was again remembered why he'd be hesitant to do away with her. Her confidence had grown after his compliment and that confidence was admittedly quite fetching.
Fraud was actually preparing to go home, but he sat down again and accepted the folder.
"Thank you, dear. Have the chauffeur standby. I'll go home soon."
"Of course, Mr Avice." She replied.
Fraud read through the folder. There were 20 more cases surely. But Fraud laughed amusedly while he read. All 23 cases of fraud commited by him and his company, Dealings with foreknowledge, intended tradebubbles and others of the sort. But none of them covered up professionally. Exactly as Fraud had ordered. This was minor. This was something the legal department could handle. Heck they could handle at least triple this at the same time, they were adepts at this.
"No, this not even the tip of the Iceberg, this is just a small part of that tip. You're good at grubbing, Greed." As ever, Fraud refused to call the other Homonculi brother or sister. That would be to much honor for them and a blemish upon his own glory. "But I can fill your shoes in an instant. But I'm a better politician and I have lots and lots of dirty tricks up my sleave. Things you have no ideas of. My corruption roots far deeper than you can hope to imagine. And I am by far more patient than you are."
Fraud thought a bit and decided to send Greed a Text. Which would be a bit of a surprise to Greed, as he kept a secret number.
Quote: Ha! I say you Ha, sir. How amusing your attempts are.
"Have the chauffeur pull up in front, dear. I'm going home."
Fraud would not even give Greed the acknowledgement of bothering to destroy the documents.
