Solution for disconnect abuse

Even now are good solution vs disconnect abuse - if you see your opponent abuse disconnects, you can never play him again. This method  work in small game community.
But for Heroes 6 i see more aggressive solution. All is needed - game record all game not only final battles so game arbiters can easy decide was fair-play or not ... If it technical hard to implement this, it is more simple version - game record game log. Example of such log - Player 1 enter battle, 250 neutral gremlins shoot and kill Player 1 30 arcane archers, 10 neutral titans shoot and kill 10 druids. Connection lost . Log end. Arbiter  reading such game logs can easily detect disconnect abuses...

More or less its all about trust. I have many games where not single dc and same time have games vs same opponent when we got few dc. Some time its result from hamachi or local ISP or someting other what cant be control from both players.
How you told most simple solution is to not play same person if you think he abuse dc. Making some crazy logs from all time and arbiters will bring only more problems in long term.
For example i wont send single logs from 1 my game. Here is no free lessons

Even now, then community is small, trust not work always ... Example is Natalka-Fire series. Maybe no one of them cheat in this game, i don't know ... But look how big problems can be then we don't have game log or game record ...
Now imagine other situation, Heroes 6 come and TOH have 2000 new active players ... Do you trust them all ? Do you remember them all ?
I prefer to lock my home then i go out

Vesuvius don't need your free lessons, you don't want to teach him for free ?

Things are pretty simple, many veterans, one toh forum. Incidents get reported or at the very least go from mouth to mouth. Then there's honour ratings in reported games..

Just don't take Vangelis' reports too seriously, he finds everyone untrustworthy

If there is 2k players for sure will have opponent for every one
Don t be mistaken about Ves, he will play active h6 so He need my free lessons most from all

About Fire-Nat I'm sure there is no cheat from both sides just nerves and no trust. In HG and any other map you cant cheat week 1 day 2 because you cant take any big battle. Screen from Nat is edited to hide heroes names because she want to keep his strategy hidden...its a bit so much paranoia but sure not cheat. Screen show clear arcane archers to her town. All what fire suspect/can suspect is he to lie about guard but screen cant prove it if she want to lie because she can easy start on single play and make screen with same race/main hero. In short we are back to some minimal mutual trust. Rule about restart on day 2 if guard is bad was made in my games with SQ79 and followed in games with Kispagat. Main idea is both to get same start and feel well/fair. So if your opponent want restart just give him. After both take his towns from there is no reasons for restart and every do his best. For this i cant understand argument for screen week 1 day 2 if game is already week 4-5. This mean both are accepted match. Fire need to give better reason for not continue his save because its look nonsense for me. I don't know details but hear he want from Nat to attack him on his main town or they wont continue. Sorry but its not serious! He can stay in his town if he want but cant force his opponent to attack right now. Every one can decide when to fight based to his plan.

Not bad, but can be better ...
This way we play only trusted people, so we loose lots of games with talented but not honorable players ... Why not make cheating for them impossible and make them viable choice for play...
Also are situations were you must play vs such players, example is Caesar tournament. Or example is dead Genesis tournament were Jinxer just refused to play vs untrusted opponents ... In such cases TOH loose honorable players, not cheaters ... Honorable players seen cheaters win big tournaments and loose faith and just leave ...
Protection vs cheat, abuse must be active not passive ...

I played almost everyone and never had any issues. Same goes for many of us, not my fault if some are paranoid The few people that cause problems can be identified, you hear a bit from me, from elit, from jinxer etc and you get the idea of who is likely to give you trouble or not continue saves just because..

But how to be with Caesar tournament ? Last one turn into mess, drama, trash ... All this is because at the moment we don't have instruments to control ... Real example is Kispagat, good player, he report if suicide. How can he won such tournament if his opponent just disconnect on suicide. Big advantage for cheaters ... And please don't tell me are no such players on TOH that abuse dc, they are ... Current situation favor cheaters. You not abuse dc, you not win Caesar, it's simple ...

Simpler than that.. You keep your eyes open and kick out those not worthy to be here, ves will have to be vigilant like in H3 times. And to avoid Caesars becoming a joke you simply make sure there are actual rules.. Not whatever, whenever, see if I care.

Anyway game record, game log will be nice to have as option to record your own part of game... Very useful for educative purpose. Such record can be posted in forum as teaching material, lately to game record can be added audio commentaries explaining mistakes committed in game, advanced tactics. Fine in game with Elit, i will shut down game log option

ELVIN:  I do hope in Homm6 there will be those 'security' features where the players can't view saves in multiplayer games using that password feature.

Elvin please look into game record too At least try... All major modern games have this. Game record have huge benefits, not only anticheat. For show, Warcraft 3 is nice example, entire replays community can exist based on replays, here take a look http://www.wcreplays.com/replay.php?m=ViewAll&f[section]=Staff+Replays]WCR replays. For auto training - you watch you own game, try to find mistakes commited, why i lost, etc ... To teach others ... For developers is good as free game publicity...
More actual example - Starcraf 2, Starcraft2 replays, pay attention to number of downloads per replay ...

After some thinking here is another option for save players time and nerves
More intelligent autosave, option to set autosave on/off for some events happening in game :
- autosave then one of the players enter battle.
- autosave then one of the players end battle.
- autosave after hero level up.
- autosave after mage guild build in town.
Not so hard to implement, i thinks this can be done even as mod for Heroes 5 ...

in other words, if you cant prove it resort to committee and politics. a useful suggestion, though not a very original one.
