Heroes 6 Heroes
A little dumb Topic name, isn't it?
Anyway, I'd like to asky you what do you think of the newly unveiled looks of the Heroes for the 4 factions? I am stunned! They are perfect and I simply cannot find anything that I don't like. All the classes mirror perfectly their purpose and look great. The only thing I hope for now is they don't ruin the names of the classes and come up with some good ones!!!

I personally don't so much like their artificial feel - Most seem covered head to toe, even their faces. This is both a good and a bad thing but I simply dislike it.

I, too, am a fan of pointless hooks and chains.
Are these the only models or are they gonna make female versions as well? Thus far, only the magic necropolis heroes are the only ones who look remotely feminine.
I do like the looks of the Infernal sorcerers and the barbarian heroes.

The models truly look great. I don't have problems with their clothes and armor, you know that this is needed in order the ordinary heroes that are playable and that don't have their unique models have to share one and it has to be most undefined.

I do not understand the three stages. First is the original, common, unevolved and inexperienced hero, and the third one is obviously the ”Ultimate” sort of hero. What is with the second stage? Someone please set me straight, there are some things that, even though they ARE more logical than anything, I simply just get them (this matter is one of the very few, the others might include Highly Proficient Mathematics and Physics).
Much appreciated in advance.

I don't like the stronghold magic heroes, they're looking like humans!
I think the second is "blood hero" and the third is "tears hero".

I can definitely see why this was done. If they are still doing the customizable hero thing then making the hero look as much like a blank slate is going to be one of their goals.
I do think though that the models look too much alike though. all sharp and blade-mail and such. just some simpler, more powerful clothes would've fit.

I think the stronghold heroes are the best ones when it comes to the distinction between good hero and evil hero, especially the shaman.
necromancers good might hero looks evil anyway, and the good magic hero has spikes all over him ???
when it comes to inferno, none of them look really good, but maybe for them you get the choice between : evil, super evil and less evil lol.
haven heroes look decent too, one of them makes me think of the sun rider.
one big flaw might be that they all have a helmet. while it works for evil heroes, it makes all the humanity of good heroes disappear.

Well I think I'm psychic because I gave my opinion in the Discussion thread before this one was created . Here it is:
Quote: I really like the Hero models, and especially the fact that apart from making separate categories for Might&Magic, they differenciate between genders - No more old, bearded, little turban man Jhoras!
Haven - The might hero looks great and resembles the Knight from H5 box cover a lot. The magic (middle one) looks like Inquisitor, so a little compensation for his H5 enthusiasts.
Inferno - Magic, I really like the "tribal" look of him, appears like a canniballistic volcano-worshipper, in a good way, and cool staff too. Might hero is superb and looks really fearsome and powerful (as opposed to the overweight Demon Lord from H5).
Necropolis - Necromancer looks calm and stealthy (a bit like Assassin from H5 Dungeon) and is clothed similarly to the Necropolis Lady from the poster with the different "children". The Might is good, but looks a little too sci-fi for a medieval game IMO, still good.
Stronghold - The magic "shaman" looks like a male cross between the Goblin and Harpy, really climatic, tribal looking. The might look really cool and powerful, very similar to the "big Elite orc" but that's a good thing because I cannot imagine a Might Stronghold Hero looking any less tough.
I cannot wait for the Sanctuary (is that what it's officially called?) Heroes. I'm loving the lineup, and always wanted an aquatic faction. Although, even if the Hero is humanoid (AND quadripedal) I don't think a Horse would be suitable for a water faction, a giant Turtle or Flying Manta Ray would be suiting (or Seahorse!), although that isn't likely seeing as all the others have horse mounts (great ones too).
By Fauch:

I agree. AND it will be very unsuitable and ugly to see an armoured Mage/Archmage, when we get Academy in expansions...
Another thing, paradoxically, while being the most might-orientated faction, the Stronghold heroes have the least amount of armour And I like them the most I think. All of them are great for me, apart from the might Necropolis looking too much like Vampire.

All heroes have covered faces because they can't create for each hero a unique model, and when you look at the hero portrait you'll see his face, that is under the helmet or mask.
All of them look nice, congrats to people who think they don't

I don't see any side as purely good or evil, so the helmet's ok for me. I would rather them have their face covered than having a face that looks nothing like the portrait of the hero.

true, as much as I'd like each hero to be unique in model, I can't agree more with you, as heroes with only different heads/faces would be too awkward.

I love it when Kodial speaks for me, it may not be often but it's awesome when it happens.
The helmets are perfect since they allow the hero to have any portrait without messing with the model too much.

IMO it's a bit cheap that the only thing that really changes, either between the base and the advanced models (and for that matter between the advanced models themselves) is the helmet and the colour scheme.
