Real-life Hashima Island
Ok, so by now, we all know that nearly all Naga in the Ashan-continuum live in the Island-kingdom of Hashima.
Now that's all fine 'n dandy, you'd say. But today I learned that Hashima Island also exists in the real world.
Hashima Island lies of the coast of Japan and is also known as Battleship Island, due to it's form. It was bought by the Mitsubishi Company at the end of the 1800's and they started mining coal on the island and the surrounding seafloor and settling their workers there. At it's peak, the 15 acre island housed over 5000 people and had one of the highest population-density ever recorded.
After Mitsubishi closed the mine in 1974, the island was abandoned. Nobody lives there anymore and it is now a Ghost Island.(Another of it's nicknames) Link to Wikipedia for further reading
Now this is all just speculation, obviously. But I started to see paralels. Both densely populated islands with a (once) thriving community. Both extensively mine one rescource. (Coal/ Dragonblood Crystal) Is real-life Hashima a forebode of what'll happen to the Naga? We know they had no part in the future Ashan events so far.(HoMMV + expansions, Clash of Heroes, Heroes Kingdoms)
What do you guys think?

Well-spotted. I do not know whether the pick of the name was coincidental but based on some other very subtle references I've seen I'd say the one who wrote it knew a thing or two.

The correlation of real life Hasima Island faith with the fantasy one in the time of H5 action (if I understood well), well that certainly opens some possibilities like naga living the island and move in search for a place outside of the conflicts or dying out etc. (but that would kill a return for H7, kind of) thus resulting in a island full of ruined buildings and vegetation retaking the island in full force. Other than that I just think that in H5 naga just didn’t make the cut, and in H7 a reason will be given for the withdraw from the affairs of Ashan, and the coincidence of the names well the Hasima island (the real one) seems to be present in media and art as the article said it’s even proposed to be a UNESCO World Heritage.

After the posts above I'm really wondering about the future of the nagas. Will they extinct at the H5 time? So I'll include it to the Marzhin's questions.

That question is not likely to be answered due to possible spoilers, but yeah it doesn't hurt to try.
