Mam zastrzeżenia do "konia" herosa.

I'll try to translate what edek wanted to say.
Quote:
It's really great that project is not really abandoned
I have some problems with look of Hero's horse. It has too big head and looks weird {Here is link too thing which would like more correct, it's a film poster}
Heroes Portraits doesn't really fit Heroes3 {Translator note: as most H3 modded creatures so they are not made by 3do} - they do not fit the traditional style of heroes3 and the things already done by 3do.
Generally the town is really great for me and good luck with the future of project.
It's not a google translated nor direct translate (it won't sound good as such) so sorry for all misunderstandings I would prepare by mistake. Text was quickly transalted by hand by myself. I also wish happy future for project .

Well, it would indeed be great if Axolotl released the finished town... and even better when it was VCMI compatible (Cove already is) - as a mod of course ;-)
Nope, that's not a suggestion (or is it?) ;-)

I guess every new town will be VCMI-compatible, its just a matter of porting graphics.

This sounds like "my post from acidcave isn't compatible with HC because is in polish" .
Grove needs erm to assign sounds and abilities, VCMI translates them like this:
attack : "cove/PIRTATTK.wav",
defend : "cove/PIRTDFND.wav",
killed : "cove/PIRTKILL.wav",
move : "cove/PIRTMOVE.wav",
wince : "cove/PIRTWNCE.wav",
shoot : "cove/PIRTSHOT.wav",
ext1 : "cove/PIRTABIL.wav"
Still, someone from VCMI would be needed to work on, or maybe they will release a tool for easy porting.

Grove needs ERM for units, heroes and special buildings, so converting it to VCMI is pretty complicated. At least if we talk about "fully converting".

Waterdeep town was never released (or even described in details), so Axolotl may give any abilities to units or heroes. This includes some new possibilities of VCMI
Anyway, I hope this town will be finally released. One of the most polished piece of work around here and very nice idea overall.

I feel like the Kraken would fit the T7 unit much better than sea serpent, because we already have a Sea Serpent in HotA's Cove, as said before.
Although I feel like Cthulhu would fit better, if not for the fact that having multiple of those wouldn't make much sense... -.-'

Is there a chance, that this town will be released as VCMI mod soon?
Or author will post all def files for someone else to add them as new town in VCMI?

Beware, modder! Maybe Macron1 is already benefitting from your work!

As Felipe also requested; upload this to another file sharing service, like mediafire or box. It claims that the download is not available in my geographic area.
Or perhaps anyone got a free russian vpn?

Abyss town graphics was posted on DF2, units are in wogarchive.
It easily can be made for VCMI now.
The only problem is that Axolotl don't want it to be published, because in future he wants to make it by himself.

With this project now being out for VCMI, I thought it was a time to say a few things.
I really, really love this faction, but as an english speaker, I found a whole lot of weird bugs and oddities.
Some names sounded unimaginative such as "tentacle bird" and "jellyfish" which doesn't exactly sound as fantastical as the faction looks, so I took the liberty to mod them for personal use. I also fixed all hero descriptions and special descriptions. I also changed "Kraken Teamster" to "Kraas" to sound less goofy.
Here are some name changes I did:
Tentacle Bird/Electric Tentacle Bird -> Feeler/Surger - Changed to be more mystical and "bird" would make some think it is a flyer.
Hippocamph -> Hippocampus - Changed for spelling. "Hippocamp" is also correct, but Hippocampus sounds bit more "upgradey". Seahorse remains (mostly as a sort of Ultima reference)
Jellyfish/Deepwater Jellyfish -> Leptomedusae/Eldritch Spire - Not entirely satisfied with this one, but I have never thought the word "jellyfish" sounded particularly nasty. Leptumedusae is a suborder of jellyfish which happen to look like the one in the game, so there you go. It's accurate, I suppose. "Eldritch Spire" was a name I came up with to give them a sort of magical feel, if not Lovecraftian. Again, I like it better than just "Jellyfish".
Octopus/Giant Octopus -> Nautiloid/Elder Nautiloid - Both of them are just as large, so the "giant" made little sense. The nautiloid name is due to the shell on their back, and it sounds (here we go again) more "mysterious". I didn't call it Nautilus as it isn't quite like one.
Yuan-Ti Leader -> Yuan-Ti Praetor - Spice up the "leader" name a little. "Leader" sounded generic and quite dull.
Ocean Worm -> Ouroboros - "Sea Worm" and "Ocean Worm" means the exact same thing so I wanted to spice it up with a bit of symbolism. I was thinking Jormundgand but he is supposed to be huge and not this small, and norse mythology doesn't fit the theme well. He doesn't bite his own tail, but he'll get to it after biting a few titans in the face.
I also fixed a few bugs, such as some units meant to use two spaces used only one, bugging out their placement in combat, often ending up on top of their enemy. There was also the map sprites for the jellyfishes.
I won't be a douche and upload my version without the team's permission. Just wanted to say I care enough to be willing to help with a few things. If I can help in any way just email me.
Another fix is to make upgrades more different in colorscheme from their base units, such as making the tentacle bird (feeler) more blue so the difference is clearer. Stuff like that.
Thank you guys for making my favorite faction!
