Maybe time to change Mods!

It was brought up before, but I noticed there are many inactive moderators nowadays.

Most important, Pandora has not been on as much & she mods many areas.
Some have already sent their resignation & are still modding.
I know Angelito is still around, just not active in the posting department.

Heroes 5 workshop mods are Pandora & Vokial.
Vokial is occasionally on, but may need a more active Mod.

New Comers Inn may need an active Mod who posts alot more to welcome the new comers who join.

Tavern has one Mod active right now, usually 2-3 should help out.

Mightymage on rarely, the Volcanic Wastelands may need 1-2 more mods to help Elvin.

Other Games Exist too needs a new mod with Mighty Mage rarely active.

With Pandora rarely on, The Turbinal may need another reliable mod to help with the place with mytical.

I sent another application as well as some of the others as well
I would love to help if i can.
Not sent an application in about 3-4 years lol.

I really think Newer mods is needed & the inactive mods should be replaced

Take care.

You? As a moderator? LOL. The Altar is fine with Alci in it. He's on enough and checks it out enough so that is fine. The only places we really need new moderators are the Tavern and OSM and that's about it really (imo).

I don't see what is "lol". Hypothetically, if I was a mod I would post in a slightly more considerate way.

You as a moderator is just not even possible. Seriously. I'd say to you, if I was an admin, to wait a few years until you're much more mature. You are definitely not right for it mate. You should be posting in a considerate way BEFORE you become a moderator and not because you have become one. If that is what it will take for you to start posting in a more considerate manner then you need to do exactly what I said and wait until you're more mature because that just proves you're not. No offence or anything.

I would dare to say that I am more mature than several adult members of this community. For instance, I never insult people (I wasn't referring to your post here).

I do not see what makes me more immature than other members in my most recent posts.

And you can't say that something is impossible untill you have tried.

Strangely the forums not needing any expensive moderation are the former ones, game related, WoG, H2-5, H6 wishes.

When you cry for a true police to cut through the jungle, maybe time came to restructure the whole forum and get it back at his first role, promoting a great game.

The Round Table made that mistake, and they're dead now.
If they got rid of the OSM, I won't have much of a reason to come to HC any more. Simple as that.

I think we could use an Altar Mod, but I would wait at least some weeks after H6 is released before apointing one. By that time a H6 Equivalent of Elvin would have stepped up and that makes for an easy desicion as far as I'm concerned.

The Tavern is near-death. It needs a new moderator asap. idk who would be best suited for the job, though. (there are PLENTY candidates for these)

I wouldn't oppose a new Moderator for both Other Games and the Glade (ESPECIALLY Other games, since MM is almost never here and some good posts have been made there over the past few months, most notably by Doomforge). I barely enter the Glade myself, so I wouldn't know myself who'd be best suited for the job... but for Other Games, I think Doomforge, BY FAR would be the best option, and I guess Vlaad or Ceph as a close second.

OSM... well, nobody wants that job, for obvious reasons, but I would endorse Cor, if it wouldn't keep him from making these illuminating easy-to-read-instead-of-tl;dr posts over the board. If Cor isn't interested himself, I think Azagal or Mvass are the next best alternative.

I know nobody considers me as a mod, and god I am trying so hard not to make this sound bitter or unrightfully self-important, but in case anyone asks anyway: I am not interested. Just saying, to the 0 people (and Azagal) who care.

@Xerox

You may not insult people but that doesn't mean you're suited to be a moderator. Going by that logic, most people here would be a good moderator. Come on!

You're very opinionated and you're still young. Do you honestly think you'd be able to sit on the fence with opinions and be able to make this forum better? I can think of so many members who are more mature than yourself and who would make better moderators. I don't mean any offence but that's just the way it is.

I know for a fact that you wouldn't make the best moderator.

And Lexxan, there is no way Mvass would make a good moderator, no offence to you Mvass.

He could if he wanted to. But do we want to see Mvass the mod? Naah, I think not.

That said, I agree about new mods.

We're not in a hurry yet though, H6 is still ages away.

new moderators are definitively a must when H6 comes, or else too much strain will be put on a little group of active people (moderating a board where legions of newbs come every day to ask the same question requires a LOT of patience, trust me - I did that for three years...)

Yep. The traffic will greatly pick in the forums. The current number of active mods won't be enough.

Whoever the next Glade mod is, this person has to be involved in a lot of the RPG's, so it's easier for them to kreep track of when a story has reached a QP-worthy post.

Does KI participate in more than just the pokémon RPG?

If MM wishes to get rid of his Other-games responsibility, I could indeed mod it, since I really like that board. If not, no biggie, I'm not exactly the "me want moar POWAH" type.

Just curious - does anyone know how to contact Val outside of HCM?  He obviously doesn't check HCM more than a few times per year anymore.  It'd be nice to get a message to him to ask him to take on some new mods and deactivate some of the ones who don't come around anymore.  Or at least to check his HCMs.
