Discussing Women in HOMM & Myth
Women are no strangers to war and myth. here we may discuss their roles in myth and history, aswell as their roles in Heroes 6 and any questions you may have on the subject. I felt that a place was required where people may freely voice their ideas and opinions.

An interesting heroes unite in the series is the Archer from heroes II. till Heroes VI she was the only female-human unit in the Knight faction. and on of the few unites that changed gender from HI-HII.
Even thou she was sort of Boyish, she held the Human Female warrior standard for a long time.

H5 Matriach and Blood Furies FTW.
I went as far as to give them the seduce ability of the succubus.
Other then that,H6 has plent female units,a good thing imo.

No, we have the Lamasu and the Fate Spinner.
Hmm a hypothical question, how would you guys feel about a female Titan?

I see no reason why not to have female titans, though im rather attached to h3 titans.
She seems stern and proud and rightly so i'll warrant. (the picture)
Also the genie in h3 (unupgraded) male/female?

I could see several creatures as females.
Haven
Crossbowman/Archer female could work.
Radiant Glory MALE would have been awesome.
I could easily see a female cavalier.
Stronghold
Female orc warriors would have been awesome.
Female cyclops, why not?
Female Dreamwalkers would also have looked cool.
Sanctuary
A female Kenshi would have been like the awesome H3 Naga Queen.
A kappa female could be cool.
Inferno
Why not a female Pit Lord? I think it would be totally awesome. Ofc she wouldnt be hot (or well, yes, since she's a demon).
Necropolis
I am actually sad to see that there have not been any Female vampires yet.
Female Death knights could also work, as could female Liches.
Female Titan.

The first Titan in greek mythology was a female is I remember correctly. The mother of Zeus (ya know, the guy with all the lightning bolts and stuff!) was Gaia, a Titan. So yeah, I'd love that. But I'm also for blatant homo-eroticism by having huge muscular men wearing loincloths.

The reason I like my Titans male is because (1)the HOMM Titans are based on the Wonder of the World Colossus, who was male... (2) blatant homo-eroticism is the key to victory, I learned from Japan.
Come to think of it... H5 Haven is a giant sausage fest, except for Angels who all look like Justin Bieber. Same for Fortress, except they have midget Santa Clauses and big sweaty Scottish men with beards instead of Justin Bieber.
Oh and that chick in the painting is Joan d'Arc. Did you know Bluebeard fought alongside her? Yes, the Bluebeard.

But our Titans are constructs, not gods, so presumably any feminine appearance is down to the creator/s. Oh, and with all of this I'll be wanting to see a male Harpy, an Incubus, and a Coral Priest.

By definition is a construct so gender doesn't apply ... so what I'm saying is that while some units have both representatives for male and female some can't because are magical or construct so I feel that some things have to make some sense or it turns ugly.
O this apples for the Heroes setting not in general.
Edit

Especially since the naga seams to be a society where we have an Empress as ruler so I would have thought that male and female would have equal chances ... not saying as it is now is wrong just both would have worked.

do we need another matriarchal faction? I know that Lorevise Shelaasa and Melassa have many things incommon, but I would leave the Matriarchal thing to the DE's

The titan should be male, because he shoots lightinings, and this ability is derived from zeus, who is male.

Not Only for Zeus. But it is true that most gods that are connected to lightning are Male.
Like Perun (Slavic) or Thor (Nordic).
The titan as a mythical creature could be in deed female. But seeing a Female Titan in heroes? Whit our "Construct" form of it. Why would any Mage make a Female Construct? Unless the feminine form would give it some sort of advantage, but I would like to see the theories behind it. :-P

Well obviously the Wizards who are in charge of making Titans could simply adopt the Eidos devs' Lara Croft Principle: If I have to make an ass that I have to stare at all day long, I might as well make it a bodacious ass.
Unless ofc if the Wizards are Jpnese, then maybe they'd rather make building-sized asses like this, in which case we have our current Titans":
But do you really want female Titans? They'd all look like this:

Craftsmen of all times have had a thing for big sculpted asses. Look through history.
Or maybe they just wanted something big and intimidating, and didn't really think that adding boobs (which would mean additional materials anyway) would add or subtract to that. But I do think that the Titans "feels" male, while other artificial creations like the golems feels more genderless.
