Half Life 2: Episode 3
It is said that HL2:E3 is cancelled and instead we will see Half Life 3. I couldn't decide on whether to be sad or happy about this. You can see the news here This is interpretated everywhere as Episode 3 is cancelled. Thoughts?

I'd much rather have a full length title than episodic gameplay anyway, so if the rumours are correct then yay.

But won't that mean it will take a lot more time for them to release the game? I mean if it is not an episode but a full length title, we'll most probably see that game in 2013 or so

So? Good games require good amount of time.
Personally I found the episodes to be rather bland anyway, so I much rather see them making HL3 at once.

Hey you're talking to the guy that thinks Half-Life 1 is way more superior then Half-Life 2.
The episodes didn't really add anything more then story and some new combat experiences.
There was no new weapons, and I really wanted new weapons.

Well, Half Life 2 and Diablo 2 are still the best games I have ever played. They were not games really. I lived there while playing. They were more dimensional travels for me

They better be upgrading the Source Engine to like match the Cry Engine 2 at least.. And together with that, i want a new Garry's Mod

Hmmm!! No doubt Halo previous Episode are interesting. The third Episode also very good as compare to Previous one i see it's Trailer on You tube..

I may as well consider HL1 superior to HL2. even though, HL2 has even more variety and awesomness than HL1 (but surface tension was still amazing), but for its time, HL1 was fantastic. HL2 was just very good. in another hand, I found opposing force below HL1. ok, but nothing memorable, apart a fight in the dark, and the last level for the only reason that it was the worst level in the whole serie imo.
