Correction: I moderated the tavern first, then I was assigned to moderate "that other board" as well. Then I dropped "that other board". Then I just fled to the Round Table for good!

I'm sorry, but almost all of you have answered wrongly to the very first question. Only Lith_Maethor has guessed in half of his answer...
That's it - you should speak a Slavic language to know the truth. Because there is no such Russian name as Valera. The Russian name is Valeriy and the Bulgarian - Valeri (or Valery - however you want to spell it). I'm very sorry that I have made an end to all of your imaginations... I don't even want to think for how long you have thought that his name is Valera...
The people around me, who speak Russian, say that Valera is to Valeriy like Bob to Robert or Fred to Frederick. So maybe Valeriy's friends have called him Valera.
Oh, and I'm glad that I'm mentioned in some of the questions.
