Heroes Chronicles added on Good Old Games.com!
Good news guys, Heroes Chronicles was finally added on Good Old Games, all eight chapters for 9.99$. Over are the days we had to hunt each chapters at ludicrous prices on eBay or sites of dubious morality, over are the days we had to juggle with five CDs whenever we had to install it.

I must say I didn't expect this. GoG just earned more of my respect. Epic addition to the already big Might and Magic lineup they have.

That's excellent. I'm glad to say I own original copies of all of them, but now no need to worry about losing them in the Reckoning... or something...

Can anyone pls tell me what's special about this? I mean, are there new features or is it like new campaings...?
I love H3 above almost every other game ever, and I am really curious (but 10 bux still a lot for me)!

They are essentially 9 extra campaigns you can download, If I recall correctly, you do not need the original Heroes 3 to play them. I think if you are a die hard fan for the story and campaign of the original, they are definitely worth giving them a go.
I wish I had these all on disc, I do remember them being rather expensive about 8-10 years ago, I think each was going for $80 NZD at the local games store..

Nothing special about those chronicles. Very short and quite easy campaigns. Custom made maps/ campaigns are more interesting and challenging...and for free

Mostly just side quests. As Angelo says, very easy & forgettable.
Fun to those who likes different adventures, but really side quests!

The whole purpose of the Heroes Chronicles I thought was to provide some backstory to the World of Enroth and also details of what lead up to the world you just learned about being blown to smithereens.
That and it was also an attempt to try to get casual gamers to try a lite Heroes game.
the 25$ or whatever they were was less than the 75$ Heroes 3 cost at the time... in 1998-2000 Dollars.

I must say, hubby was talking about how awesome it would be if GoG offered this exact thing the other day.

And, of course, Chapter VIII: The Sword of Frost is a bridge to HoMM IV game (see HoMM IV starting video where the entire world was destroyed by Gelu).

Gelu destroyed the world  ? I thought he was a good guy  Well I have not played these chronicles yet but I would never have believed that Gelu would destroy the world....
