it's on my desktop as wallpaper!! yeah!
Troops are by my suggestion: (from top->left)
UNICORN (but it may be the hero - cause there is nothing displaying count), DWARF, GOBLIN??, ORC/LICH??, MAGE, GENIE, DARK_KNIGHT
From three Heroes - I see Sandro is still here!
This GUARD-POST into water - is kind of cool - it guards a lot of space
geee... when this is out ... i can't wait... looks so good!
Isometric view is really well done. Now you can see much more detail - and hideness will be great - especially in multiplayer - There was chance to hide a hero of mine behind tree in Heroes3 - but now!! really!!!

hmmm...
the battle screen looks a bit boring to me (e.g. there are no obstacles, just plain ground). when it is not ready yet, why should they make a screenshot public?
the adventure map looks great! maybe you are able to play homm3-maps on it?

Heroes 4 Screenshots
3DO knows it's "Heroes" fans are itching for the release of the next sequel, so they want to give us at least SOME idea of what the game will look like! I don't think the battle fields will look that dull when it's all said and done. But everything else looks AWESOME! Everything is so realistic--it's like you can just reach out and feel all of the objects on the screen! Heroes4 certainly appears promising graphics-wise; now we need to see some more promises game-play wise!

Wow!
Everything looks about perfect to me! My interest is picqued. I love the layout of the battlefield, although obviously some detail would be nice.
The adventure map looks brilliant. Some non-hero looking things running around there. Nice. Just more realistic in every way.
Even the menu bar has more of a realistic/non-cartoonish look. And most of all I can't see anything that they changed that will hurt the game.
Still early to tell, but looking really good.

Is Sandro really back?
Well, I'd like to thank Hell itself if Sandro manages to arrive to Jadame "undead and well", but that cadaveric face we could see in the new screenshots isn't an ultimate proof. His natural born specialty used to be sorcery, and that hero is a necromancy master. And, if we rely only on the portrait, that hero could perfectly be Isra, another skeletal face.
This is just a guess: why we see only two of the secondary skills on the adventuring map? Maybe the two secondary skills your hero comes with are the only skill he can acquire a MASTER proficiency in. This could give more unicity to each hero.

Everything is more detailed, I'm impresed. The graphics are cool. I was worrying a bit about graphics because of low resolution of the first heroes4 pic. But now I'm more than impresed. The is Ajit with creatures, our worst fear is over , I think the last one is a minotaur. The artifacts are shining now... I'm happy .....

One more thing....
The hero you are talking about here, thinking that he is Sondro, well.... he is not. As I can see from one pic. the hero is called Jessica and looks like heroes3 Sandro. She has MASTER necromacy level (some ideas from us ) and advanced BLACK magic. Thats cool, not only water, earth, fire and air. I can see there a sort of Dragon guarding the dragons scale artifact, it could be a shadow dragon, dunno, but looks cool.
And about the battles. It is good that there are differences between the creatures. Look, gold golems are much bigger than halfings (or hobbits ). Can't wait to see how the drags will look like.... There are no obstacles in the battle, but I'm sure there will be....

This is great! But I'm kinda disappointed of the battlefield, I prefer the side view.

I like the side view, too.... Maybe the game will give you the option of having the side view or angled view. But yeah, I'd like to see the faces of the units.

Weird-looking creatures
I am very happy with the way the environment looks. The structures are are beautiful. However,I don't feel quite comfortable with the appearance of the creatures.Personally,I find that the ancient behemoths look like gorillas??Still prefer the way they are in Heroes3.
I hope the creatures will look better in the future screenshots.

The behemoths really look like gorillas .
Also, the Gold Golems look too tall, almost like the Giants, and the Mages also look too tall, while the Genies are small.
The Dragon looks much cooler now, when he's on 4 legs.
Also there is some kind of black horse, and there is some small flying lizard (green with pink wings), that I saw on some screenshots, maybe it's the frog looking unit that u can see in the hero units bar in the adventure screen, on one of the screenshots.

What did you expect? When you go to more of a 3-d kind of view the images won't be quite so defined. But its a definate step in the right direction and the playability of the game appears to still be where it should be. There are too many positives for me to even consider the minor negatives. Teenagers stick out like a sore thumb...

About images not being as defined as they were because it's 3-D,I beg to differ.I'm sure everyone has seen well-defined 3-D images. And one more thing,I don't deny that there are lots of positive aspects in the game, but creature appearance is no minor thing.
Lastly,I hope that nobody will make caustic attacks against a paricular age-group.I'm no longer a teenager, but I was proud being one.I don't find them a sore thumb, anyway

yeah i do. I dont know why they have tried to make the buildings bigger enough to fit a hero(and monster on the map) in while leave massive gold and crystal and HUGE artifacts they should all beleft the same size i think.
