Pokemon TCG
I was wondering if there where any of you hwo play Pokemon The Card Game?
I know pokemon is for the children/younger beings..,, And i know it's not nearly as tactical as Magic The Gathering.
Magic will always be the best Fantasy card game out there, and somehow World of Warcraft is on the 2nd place :S
But then Yu-gi-oh and Pokemon ;p
...
I my self play Magic, Pokemon and a little Yu-Gi-Oh..
Why?, Because i'm tired of making a deck that either wins or loses all the time.. By that i mean, i have 3 decks that 9 out of 10 times wins, and 4 decks that always loses against my opponents best decks.
What im trying to tell you, is that even before we start playing, we know hwo will win, and that is basicly what i'm tired of..
We have tried to use only common cards and everything in that way, but it's not the same as where back when we started :S
So Enter Pokemon and Yu-gi-oh, and because i don't really like yu-gi-oh, i want to talk pokemon
-----
RULES# Basic Rules On Wiki
I have 5 decks, (all of them custom made btw)
But it's really hard to build a superior deck in pokemon,.. Maybe because the cards aren't advanced or maybe because it depend a lot on luck (The coin flip)..
But, to the meaning of this thread:
Do you play Pokemon TCG?

I have my pokemon cards from over 10 years ago.
I'm sure I'd get whipped by anybody with modern cards due to rule changes and other overpowered cards I am unaware of.
Fun game, like Magic Lite.
I have decks of Magic cards of all sorts.
I used to play with co-workers. I have a few decks designed specifically for massively multiplayer games.
One designed to kill everybody. Period.
One designed to make the game go super fast (massive card draw, free land, free creatures into play or into hand from deck, etc for everybody or everybody but me). It was blue and green, like the most common Excel Gums. I dubbed it "Excellerate your death" because it breaks decks that rely on certain mechanics and throws many strategies out the window.
I also enjoyed my goblin based red/blue pinger deck based on goblin sharpshooter (among other goblin pingers) that would either kill or in some cases, remove other creatures from the game. Of course, all of my blue spells were forms of misdirection. I seldom lost with that deck unless I was mana screwed.
Lots of fun.

I gave all my ancient Pokemon cards to my cousin a few years ago.
...bet I could've sold some of those for some good cash... damnit...
I was probably the only kid within a 100 km radius that knew how to play the game. The other kids threw the cards, and the one that threw his card the longest won... major retardism ^^

Aah, you gave them away, you played it in the past, so Pokemon IS for children :S
I'm almost 20 years old, and i still play it :S
----
Khalbrae# I would really like to see your Multiplayer deck!, i have tried to build one for some time now, but it just wont work...
(I do have my 9 out of 10 times winner deck, and it is able to kill 2-3 opponents, unless they play blue counter cards)
----
Adrius# I know the feeling, i gave a shining gyrados and a promo mewtwo away, cuz i didn't know the value of the cards :S
So i decided to keep all of it to see prices in the future..
My most valuable card i a Foil Raikiou EX worth 200kr => 38,75 $ in danish valuta..

My kill everybody deck focuses on trying to get everybody to have an even amount of life, using Heartless Higetsu to take halfe of everybody's HP and overblazing to double the damage. (Thus killing everybody)
It's black and red.
I've successfully killed 8 people at once, and I actually survived that time.
And to be honest my "help everybody" deck has won a couple of times as well, because people often leave it alive to reap its benefits. Meanwhile their decks (usually standard size) are getting milled away willingly by massive card draw.
Leaves them open to the few milling cards I slipped in just to finish people off if I live long enough
(Such as traumatize)
