Sanctuary haz the strongest town (maiden is weak though, shark sux and spring is ), inferno iz the weakling of the game

Testing complete.
NECROPOLIS. IS. BROKEN. TOTALLY. COMPLETELY.
Necropolis destroyed all my orc army losing ONLY 20 LAMASUS. That' because their racial is broken beyond belief and because mass life drain spell is a game breaker.

why do you guys only build cores?
as undead/heaven i just rush champion units.
i build a tavern on day 1 and buy 3 heroes.
my main hero gets all the units and does only fight, no picking up things at all.
on day 2345 i build money. On day 6-7 i build a fort and champion dwelling.
This nets me 6 champion units at day 1 of week 2.
Ps 1 secondary hero gets economics +1 growth, the 2 other heroes gets +15% resourses from pickups.
i pick +2 movement perk and logistics perk on day one for my main hero.
And trust me champion units own when you get alot of them. They also benefit alot from +magic defence/might defence.
As for inferno, well they are not the best, but breeders do alot of damage. Just get + magic power fire and magic power from prime.
Also get reinforcements, to use on lilims to get 0 losses.

I also build one elite and champions on first week but but but how can u have 6 champion units on first day of week two ??

Because cores can get boosted (on broken alliance) 2-3 times, meaning you will have 100 cores against 6-7 champions, and guess what, cores win such a fight without many loses. especially Furies or Crushers.

put 2 heroes with +1 to dwelling growth in city on day 7. 2 base growth +2 from heroes +1 from fort +1 on day 6.
The reason to build champions on week one and not cores is to get +4500 a week and a very good army boost. Cores get rushed on day 123456 of week 2 anyway.
that will net me champions + core units, but i do delay getting cores untill the start of week 2.
+5 angels every week is noticeable, and you also get alot of cores from those heroes.
you might get hundred cores a week, but the one that rushes champions does also get quite a few cores a week.
any hero can get +1 growth per dwelling . it is a skill.
It is probably not supposed to be cumulative.

this might be worth a try, but right now getting mass cores is better. The only elites that can rival cores are blazing glory, arch lich and kensei. Vamplords are good too. There's a lot of uninspiring elites, however. Champions - so far they just don't have the damage to be worth it, and most of the times the specials aren't enough. Cyclopes are good, Pitlords are only good if they trigger their hateful retaliation, Spinners are decent due to ranged form, Angels are disappointing, Kirins plain suck.

me thinks me glitched base growth isnt two unless i have castle, fort not worth 1 and never saw 2 heroes with + 1 growth, me gets 2 champions on day one week 2

It seems there are problems with growth in towns (also with heroes that have growth bonus). It just doesn't always work the same. Same with spells that cost less and less (seen in campaign and multi). So we cannot really compare strats if it doesn't work as intended . But i'll don't underestimate the power of champion units early game, they simply destroy hordes of cores with the right play...

I wanted so see if it's true that Cerberus is as bad as everyone says, so I did some minor testing. (minor indeed...)
The problem you say with them is that they are targeted by enemy all the time. So how do we abuse this fact?
Well they do have Unlimited retaliation, so we just need to give them Life Drain and they can just tank and stay alive just fine.
Enemies attack them, they attack back and regain their numbers
To be honest that's a great way using them, the real problem with that though is mana cost and undeads. And you also need to have a desant number of them compared to what you're facing. (so that they can always regain enough health to stay on the positive side of life.)
Undead however. (and elemantals and other lifeless snows I face some ghouls and I pretty much lost half of my cerberus force.
So yes the unit needs tweakings, but otherwise it's great. Unlimited retaliation is truly invaluable, and works great with Life Drain.
Another cool thing with life drain is that it works with ranged units.

fortifications add +1 to all dwellings in castle, and 1 architect too it seems and he doesn't need to be in town for that. Don't know for 2 architects or more...maybe a bug if it's true since numbers go very high then...
edit: tested with glories and it works with each architect : +1 growth, as least that's what it says but then I tested with sun riders and received 12 in day 1-2-1 with 3 architects and a fortification. Something wrong...

No. In a perfect world Inferno will be both fun to play with AND capable of standing its ground in a multi-player game. They reduced the number of almost everything in this game so I expect nothing less than an excellent balance which at the moment isn't even on the horizon. With so few factions, multi-player outsiders are not only unwanted - they will be a bloody joke with all this "quality over quantity" crap that's been advertised for nearly an year now.

Inferno is already capable. I beat stronghold of equal sized army without any problems. yeah, same faction you call the strongest in the game.
Demented can be quite broken if they special accumulates (idk if this is a bug or not) and you bloodlust them. They can literally tear a stack apart. Add luck and vampirism and voila, game breaker.
The only thing that sucks atm is breeder (also sucks mana, which is powerful, I won also thanks to them, the other hero wasn't able to keep with me in blood lusting... wasted mana, while I still had a lot). But its damage sucks. Lacerator could use some health buff. Rather than that, it's fine.

architect 1 only works in 1 region.
move it out of the region and the bonus goes to the other region.
it is cumulative.
I rutinely use it to get high growth of elite units.
as inferno i buy alot of heroes and buy breeders+ lilims.
If architect did not work cummulatively then elites and champions would be very bad. The growth is simply way too low without architect 1.
It does work as intended by the discription, and it makes champion and elite units worthwhile.

Well, I'd like to see how you did that. Now I admit that it could be MY mistake that I'm testing mostly Might heroes while you people are talking about spells all the time but beating Stronghold without problems sounds somewhat unreliable to me.

If somebody tells me where are the saved games located, I will upload the pre-battle save here (all three heroes next to each other for testing purposes).
You should have no problems with destroying Stronghold as demons in that save. Just be sure to protect Demented and bloodlust them a lot.
As for Necro, just cast mass vampirism in the first opportunity you have and from there spam the racial on spectres, ressurecting them over and over. You will destroy both enemies without any loses at all if you play smart (yes mass vampirism + necro special is that good. My eyes went round, too.)

under singleplayer load save.
There are many speacial weeks of higher growth. they are common.
some weeks have high growth. and some have crappy growth.
