Heroes III goes Civ!!
Even though heroes 3 came out before I started elementary school, I still can't get enough of it. For those of you who also happen to like Civilization 3, I would really recommend this highly developed mod. It has truly renewed my HoMM-life. I would also especially recommend the "tenth town" in the game, the neutrals faction. I have always dreamed of such a faction, and now I have seen my dream come true. What a load of fun!
(Excuse me if there already was a thread about this, but I couldn't find one)

Now try the opposite. Such conversion receive enthusiast support in CIV forums, but if one tried to make HoMM3->CIV mod, he would be eat alive by "purists".

I'm sorry, but that wouldn't make much sense at all. What would be the fun of playing Heroes with only humans and no magic?
Then, I really hope to mod the Neutral town into Heroes 3 someday.

I don't think these 'purists' would object against any working mod finally done - I can't name too many of them. However, in H3 most of effort is consumed to make any mod at all rather than the mod that makes some sense.
