Well while a Commisar usually functions as a liason we're talking about the inquisition here. No Inquisitor is going to tolerate anyone watching them on behalf of others unless they want them to which would most likely involve keeping all the important from you. We're talking about the inquisition unless Omega comes up with an exceptionally good reason I don't see how the Guard/Monitorum could possibly convince an Inquisitor to take a commisar with himself simply to be checked up on.

First, A Commissar rarely functions as a liaison. It is their role to keep the Imperial Guard/Navy functioning in adherance to the Imperial Creed. They are there to keep morale, faith and discipline up and to keep desertion, heresy and treachery down. They keep their eye on the soldiers of the Imperium and function as officers in battle.
Second, as a liaison, a Commissar would provide many services to an Inquisitor. But he is certainly not there to keep an eye on him. A Commissar is there to acquire the Guardsmen needed, to call down artillery/air bombardements, and to provide an example and support in combat. He is there to provide a smoother cooperation with the Departmento Munitorum. (Which is why I figured a vox would be usefull)
The point I was trying to make, is that what makes the Commissar different is that in the end, it is not the Inquisition he answers to, but the Commissariat. Even though the Inquisition has a higher level of authority. He is there as an outsider.

Edited (small typo, due to me mixing two sentences up)
And there are several cannonical flaws in your bio.
If Alexander is a Cadian, even a noble. There is no way he could be an trader in the way you describe. Any and all Cadians are Guardsmen. Nobility serve as officers, everyone else as troopers. On Cadia, the birth and recruitement rate is synonimous. So a family of noble traders is unheard of on Cadia.
Disregarding that, if he would have become and officer, he would not be given a lasgun. Lasguns are the armament of the common troopers. He would have gotten a Laspistol when he made Corporal/Sergeant. If he made Leiutenant, chances are he would not have been presented with another side arm. (Though he might have acquired one by other means) Further more, Las weapons(With the exception of a Lascanon) do not run out of ammo quickly. A fully charged powerpack of a Lasgun would last for 150 shots (dependant on the energy setting). A Laspistol would last for 80 shots. So running out of ammo is not something that would happen. Especially because every Guardsman is issued with 4 spare powerpacks and not taking care of your equipment (ie. wasting ammo / failing to maintain and charge his powerpacks) with get a Guardsman at least flogged and very likely executed.
[with a codex and a Infantrymans Uplifting Primer, there is very little you can tell me of the Imperial Guard that I do not allready know. still looking to buy me a Imperial Munitorum Manual though]

Wut?
No, not all Cadians are Guardsmen. The overwhelming majority most certainly yeah, but not all of them. Birthrate and recruitment rate are almost synonymous (it says so in the Guardsmen Codex doesn't it?).
Perhaps I'll replace noble with wealthy since it makes little difference why his family is rich and priveliged the point is that they are. And there is a rich elite on Cadia, just as on any other important imperial world, whether they're a political power or not makes no difference to my bio. However what's your source if you want to say I'm wrong you'll have to be a bit more exact than "I told you so" the Guardsmen Codex says nothing about there not being nobles/a wealthy caste on Cadia. And he's not serving as an officer because he doesn't want to. He wants to be with the rank and file and therefor arranged to be stationed with them his family doesn't give a damn, perhaps I didn't make that clear enough T_T?
I'll give you one thing though the Lassgun thing was my mistake I did indeed mean for that to be a lasspistol, thanks you. And well as far as ammunition goes it's a lasspistol and he only had the pistol no spares he was visiting his family afterall he wasn't running arround in his gear he just wanted to show them the pistol because he was proud of it. And I don't see how it makes no sense to run out of ammo in a firefight against superior forces after indeterminate ammount of time.

And about the Commissar thing you're of course right, I wasn't being exact. I ment that Commissars usually function as liasons if they are in cooperation with organisations outside the Guard (Mechanicum, Astartes, Inquisition, etc.) wouldn't you agree?

Listen I think you missunderstand me when I posted I didn't mean to critize or lecture you I was just saying I had my doubts I don't have any Inqusitorial rulebooks I've just read lore (a lot) and I base what I say upon that. I don't mean to make your character less cool or make mine more powerful. Omegas oppinions are what really matter, not mine but that doesn't mean I can't state them, no (unless you thought I was being a smartass which I most certainly didn't want to be)?

Still thanks for the feedback even if was only to tell me it's all cannonical bull**** (but apart from the pistol/gun thing I don't see where you caught me).

It says in the current Imperial Guard Codex (2008), on page 14, first paragraph:
Quote:
The entire population of Cadia is destined for a military life, the birth rate and recruitment rate being synonymous.

And on the same page, third paragraph:
Quote:
As such, all Cadians must train in the defence forces, and many are drafted into the Imperial Guard. Before induction, all Cadians mus serve in the Youth Army, joining one of the so-called Whiteshield platoons...

Further more, on page 59 (the bio of Sergeant Bastonne):
Quote:
Lukas Bastonne was born of one of Cadia's noble families, his lineage guaranteeing him a prestigious career as an officer in the Imperial Guard.

I never (meant to) implied that there is no Cadian Elite. However all Cadians are soldiers, every single one of them. So a single family on Cadia not part of the military as you say in the words:
Quote:
While his older brothers were taught in the ways of trade and aristocratic dealings..Unlike the rest of his brothers who had absolved all but the most basic trainning
is, for a Cadian family, impossible.
The thing of not being an officer by choice is entirely possible, the same thing is decribed in the mentioned bio of Sergeant Bastonne.

The running out of ammo part is an error on my account, however you never stated that he was out of uniform/gear. So assuming that he was in combat gear, he would have carried enough power for 400 shots and with a single pistol that is rather a lot.

So it's not all nonsense, but some parts certainly are, cannonically speaking.
I admit that I have no Inquisition Codices(Which would be Grey Knights and Witch Hunters). And I appologize for reacting defensively and interpreting that you were saying that my char was simply there to spy.

Just to clarify:

War is more correct on the Cadian history.  Azagal sent me the bio and I OKed it, so any mistakes are my fault.  As of right now, we'll acknowledge he was born on Cadia and due to insane heroism and a latent gift for psychic talents, he found his way into the Inquisition.

The commissar answers to the inquisitor and by extension, the Inquisition, in this game.  Perhaps the Munitorium wants to know what is going on and that's why they are allowing the commissar to tag along (well, not allow it.  They are agreeing to the inquisitor's polite request).  Everybody in this game answers to the inquisitor.  He's your boss after all.

To keep it civil, no killing of teammates unless absolutely necessary (like psyker fails the perils of the warp).  Or Adrius joins the game.  Feel free to kill him with extreme prejudice.  Really, an Exterminatus on Adrius's house would be justified and probably make the galaxy a better place.  You know what?  I'll just do that now to avoid any problems later on with him.

OK, I will get Kipz gear list out later today.  I will also formally start the game today.

Alright I'll rewrite my background one second.

Bolded the changed bits, any better now?

Alexander was born as the 5th son of the Deza family on Cadia one of the few noble families in this most martial of societies. Due to their noble roots he and his brothers were assured a career as Imperial officers  and during their time in training Alex found that he took the teachings and training a lot more serious than many of his peers and as such he was always at the top of his class.Cadia is a planet at constant war with Chaos and Alexander quickly understood that nothing short of the strongest willed and most able men could possibly hope to hold the tide of evil at bay. Despite his aristocratic background which would allow him to be spared serving in the Whiteshield regiments he volunteered to join their ranks at the age of 14, believing that his career as officer wouldn’t involve him closely enough with the front and he preferred to be more directly involved with the brave troops who gave their lives to defend the Imperium.  Thanks to his prodigious results during training he was immediately welcomed.
During his time of service he saw a lot of war and death but Alexander had always made it out of even the direst of situations he liked to believe it was thanks to his skill others claimed he was too lucky for his own good. During a smaller Chaos invasion unto Cadia he had held an outpost against the invaders after their commanding officer had been shot he assumed control and they held out long enough to be saved by the Interior Guard to rescue them, for his exemplary leadership he was awarded the rank of lieutenant at the young age of 17.
With his promotion came a day off. He decided to give his families estate a surprise visit to show them how far he had come due to his own hard work whether it was for some measure of acknowledgement or simply to gloat he wasn't sure.
When he found his family in their Estates dungeon he couldn't believe his eyes, there they were his parents, brothers and a number of their staff chanting and singing blasphemous odes to the Dark powers.
The chanting abruptly stopped when they saw him in the doorway "Alexan...", his father never got to finish as Alexander had already drawn the lasspistol he had been presented upon becoming lieutenant and felled him with a shot that blew the side of his head open. Mesmerized by shock the others stared at him in disbelief but that was all the time he had needed he gunned them down before his brothers could reach for whatever weapons they carried on themselves.
Alerted by the shots the house militia stormed the dungeon and after a short firefight he was cornered and the powercell of his gun had run dry. He cursed himself for not bringing any spares.  He would however not surrender to this heretic scum, he drew his combat knife and charged the house militia, if he were to die he would die fighting. But such charges seldom end as in imperial legend and Alexander was felled by a dozen wounds from their riffles he lay on the ground face up and as his life was seeping from him he felt nothing but pure hatred.
Hate for all the snow scum that would willingly chose to betray their fellow man and forsake their own humanity. Hate for his family. Hate for his own damnable weakness that saw him lying here. No he wouldn’t die, he could not die here but as the troopers walked up to him that seemed like an unlikely prospect. These heretics had spared his life to delight in his suffering but that was their fatal mistake before they could lift him up Alexander only saw their midsections vaporize. He could barely move his head but at the entrance of the dungeon through blurry vision he could make out a man in a long leather coat with a plasmapistol that still smoked from the heat of the shots that walked up towards him.
"Well met Alexander. I am Grimmwald and you just made my job a little easier my young friend, quick get him to my ship. Make sure he survives!" Grimmwald looked down on his abused body and Alexander stared back at him pure hatred still burning bright in his eyes. Grimmwald chuckled to himself "I like you boy, what would you sa..." Alexander didn't hear the rest as he passed out due to excessive blood loss.
And so Alexander became the Neophyte of Inquisitor Grimmwald.

Great Gnomes.
Just one little thing while Inquisitors technically are equals there are those that command greater authority over their peers. Omega is one of the few ergo his "Lord" title. Deza is a "rank and file" Inquisitor so to speak and therefor there is no prefix to his Inquisitor title.

Alright so far so good.
The list will see Alexander adding Dorian (Kiph) and possibly Anyab  (Meroe) (should she have been in the service of the Inquisition before) to my retinue, Kiel (Gnomes) will discretely join the Squad through a favour to the Inquisitor and Karl (Dagoth) is already part of my entourage.
If there is any feat in your Characters career that makes you outstanding please tell me so I can give a reason for why Alexander picked you. If not no problem either. You don't have to Gnomes since you're exceptional enough already simply for being a Vindicare Assasin.
I would like for all of you to meet up with me before we enter the Ares sector whether you come to me or we have a fixed gathering point is secondary aslong as we all enter the Ares Sector together on my ship, instead of meeting up there.
I plan to recruit/request his assistance Overlord as soon as this:
Quote:
The commissar answers to the inquisitor and by extension, the Inquisition, in this game.  Perhaps the Munitorium wants to know what is going on and that's why they are allowing the commissar to tag along (well, not allow it.  They are agreeing to the inquisitor's polite request).

is defined any clearer. From what I understand the Monitorum is supposed to also have some interest in the Ol'Tan clan and by some means know of my investigation (or I tell them for some reason?), eitherway I'm sure it's Overlords or Omegas responsability to come up with the reason why they are involved all I have to do is simply welcome Horrace Eggidio into my squad once I am represented said reasons. Right? As with the others I would like Eggidio to join my squad before we enter the Ares sector.

About Happyskeletons character I'm a bit unsure about how to integrate him: he's a Techpriest so there is nothing unusal about an Inquisitor taking one along so I was thinking I would simply request one and after checking his background normally accept him into my retinue or should there be some deeper connection, background, reason like that he is the techpriest I personally hired for my ships on previous missions already?

Also about my post I'm assuming I'm in some sort of Imperial or Inquisitorial Facility (but I'm being as vague as humanly possible lol), is that correct?

Also I still don't know how much equipment I'm allowed to take. I know I want the powersword by all means but I don't know how much else I'm allowed to take. And since we can apparently ask for some other stuff I'd very much appreciate an displacer field since it's the only subtle way I can think of to be protected against ranged arms fire.

2)  Happy's employment is up to you.  If you want a new techpriest, a welcomed addition to any mission, that's fine.  If he's been your friend for years, too, that's fine as well.

3)  You are in the Inquisition Headquarters on Theseus.

4)  Take all of your equipment.  You have been granted a displacer field.

I have not forgotten about you Kip.  I'm at work right now, so I can't update the list.  In the meantime, your loadout is more than fine for a mercenary.

As to everyone else, good start.  Everyone feels like they are in character.

For someone who supposedly has no idea about the universe you're doing a great job Meroe. Also if you have any questions feel free to ask anyone of us.

I'll post my recruitment of Kiph and Meroe once Dagoth presents me the list. I will have you flown to Theseus as soon as possible. Happy I will have join Alexanders crew as the standard Mechanicumpriest useful to any Inquisitorial quest.
Gnomes should as of now be on his way to Theseus as I already called in the favour, I requested an Vindacre assasin, not Gnomes inparticular the reasons of why you were chosen to assit me are entirely up to you if you want to write anything about that at all.
Any development concerning Warlords introduction to the team on my part will happen once Omega or Warlord post the reasons as to why and how he is involved. But considering you're saying that "everyone will be assembled beforehand" I'm guessing that Warlord will come Theseus on his own, right?
