OK. So this is a faction I once wanted to make for HoMM 3 but finally I did not. Now I thought I share this faction because of the current circumstances...
So here's the most lame and unimaginable faction of ever:
Dhaerow
Race based faction!
Faction summary:
Colours: Black, red, dark purple
Sign: Stylised spider
Terrain: Underground
Religion: Follows the Spiderqueen, also known as the Dark Mother
Alignment: Xenophobic and racist evils
Social organisation: Their society is extremly religious and rigid, they organised into separate Noble Houses that each fights for more power and wealth over their local city-states. Commoners are usually merchants, mercenaries or already employed as servants by the Noble Houses. The cities are ruled by the females and in every level the females are superior in their society. Population growt really slowly because their cruel, warlike and chaotic demeanor. Achieve higher rank and more power means the slaughter of the superiors while those targeted superiors always try to kill every threat they can. Infights and murdering within the families are encouraged and demanded ensure that only those survives whom strong enough on their own. As a matriarchal society the rule of the Houses passes from mothers to daughters while males, even if they borned for noble, heir nothing.
Military: Well trained but chaotic and not very well organised. They adapted to live and fight in darkness and they confused if they stand in sunlight.
Overview:
- Slow population growth (only 75% of the average growth rate)
- Adapted to darkness (+1 to all combat stats if they fight in dark\underground)
- Hates sunlight (-1 to all combat stats if they fight in sunlight)
- Resistance (resists 50% of all magical damage)
- Masters of hiding and stealth (invisible on main screen if they underground until they attack)
- Chaotic military (when they reach an enemy town they can't attack it in the same turn, they can attack it only the next turn)

Velg'larn
They are the assasins of the Matrons of the ruling Houses. They crawl the underground tunnels like living but deadly shadows strike down every fool who go near for a Dhaerow settlement.
- Hide in shadows: No enemy retaliation
Mor'Velve
These superior female assasins are the right hands of a city's temple and hunt down heretics restlessly. They shave down every hair from their bodies to make themselves much more invisible and lethal. As favoured by their dark goddess they got unnatural quickness when they strike down their targets!
- Quick strike: Always attack first
- Hide in shadows: No enemy retaliation
Salgtril => Kensai
 
Salgtril
Salgtrils are the common weapon wielders of the Dhaerow society. They made up the bulk of every army and they higly trained in the arts of war and blades. Their superb chainmail is dark to help them blend into the shadows where they strike with unparalleled rage and vigor.
- Vigorous strike: Attack twice
Kensai
Those salgtrils whom prove themselves somehow superior than their female officers expectancies are promoted to kensais and received some magical training to enchance their already unnatural fighting abilities. Kensais are the leaders of salgtril squadrons acts under more superior officers on the battlefield.
- Vigorous strike: Attack twice
- Living bladestorm: Attack all adjacent enemies
Z'harn => Orbb Z'harn
Z'harn
They are the basic cavalry units of the Dhaerow armies. They ride on specially mounted quadruped lizards and wield long, poisonous spears to harass their enemies into the dark void of death.
- Hit-and-run: Return starting position after attack
Orbb Z'harn
Religious cavalry units of the dark armies, these trained females riding on their giant spiders. It is said that they sometimes mate their spiders and give births natural driders but it seems just only a rumor...
- Hit-and-run: Return after attack
- Spider speed: No enemy retaliation
- Spider bite: 20% chance that the attacked stack poisoned
Elite units:
Drider => Drider jalil
 
Drider
Fearsome creatures that lurking for warm blooded prey in their rotten pits and tattered webs. Driders are the unnatural mixture of a dark elf and a giant spider usually created as a punishment for some great crimes...
- Levitate: Not blocked by obstackles or walls
- Web-weaver: Attacked stack cannot move until the driders stand near them
Drider jalil
These female specimens are the results of the union of a dark elf and some sort of giant spider. They are much more cunning than normal driders and have the ability to charm their preys...
- Levitate: Not blocked by obstackles or walls
- Web-weaver: Attacked stack cannot move until the driders stand near them
- Unnatural beauty: 25% chance to charm the attacked stack which results that that stack won't retaliate
Faern => Yathrin
 
Faern
Fearsome and dreaded members of the Dhaerow society these males are the pinnacle of what a male could ever achieve. Their powerfull magic could decimate whole armies while they gain many benefits for themselves!
- Spellcasters: They randomly cast lightning bolt or fireball when attack (they are ranged fighters!)
- Arcane aura: All spellcasting costs -1 spellpoints for the hero
- Necromancers: Rise skeletons equal the number of the faern stack after battle
Yathrin
Yathrins are the rulers of their society, they are the priestesses of the temples and matrons of the Noble Houses. They are short tempered and agressive, often torture lesser males just for their own amusement...
- Spellcasters: They randomly cast lightning bolt or fireball when attack
- Name of the Goddess: Every spellcasting costs +1 spellpoints for the enemy hero
- Priestess: Once per battle they can ressurrect 50% of a destroyed stack
Abyssal widow => Lady penitent
 
Abyssal widow
These divine creatures are rather rare sights and always treated with maximal respect. They are purely beautyfull women with four spiderlegs as sign of their goddess' favour.
- Divine creature: Gives +1 moral for friendly units
- Unnatural beauty: 25% chance to charm the attacked stack which results that that stack won't retaliate
Lady penitent
Once they were favoured and glorious but now they are fallens of the goddess. Their body is twisted and they feel everlasting pain and desperate...
- Divine creature: Gives +1 moral for friendly units
- Overwhelming strike: Ignores 75% of the targeted stacks defense
- Priestess: Once per battle they can ressurrect 50% of a destroyed stack
Champion units:
Streea'Valsharess => Yor'Thae
 
Streea'Valsharess
They are the highest ranked females of a city, almost undisputed leaders. They have the ultimate favour of their dark goddess.
- Spellcasters: They randomly cast lightning bolt or fireball when attack
- Name of the Goddess: Every spellcasting costs +1 spellpoints for the enemy hero
- Divine favour: Always has at least 1 morale
Yor'Thae
They are the ultimate members of their evil society, the chosen ones of the Dark Mother. Their bodies are transformed by the Spiderqueen herself and they granted such powers that others can not even imagine!
- Spellcasters: They randomly cast lightning bolt or fireball when attack
- Overwhelming strike: Ignores 75% of the targeted stacks defense
- Divine favour: Always has at least 1 morale
- Bless of the Goddess: 50% of every damage is soaked unharmly
Heroes:
Valsharess
The only hero-type of theirs is the 'Empress', a powerfull magic user but a weak fighter. Every hero of this class starts with Bless to compensate their weak combat abilities and bolster the power of their troops. On the surface the Valsharess got normal scouting radius while underground this radius is expanded by +1. As a hero of a racist race the Valsharess suffers another -1 moral modifier if commanding mixed troops or non-dhaerow troops on the battlefield. At for the reverse, dhaerow troops can not gain positive moral modifiers from non Valsharess class heroes!

The dark and cruel Spiderqueen's avatar is an unstoppable menace on the battlefield! This unbelieveable beautyful creature is the enbodiement of the purest chaos so even it's allias can not feel themselves safe in her vicinity.

Yes, first impressions U know... Dhaerow means 'Traitors'. That was the name the Elves called their Illithyiiri and Miyeritarian brethren after their transformation to black elves. The term 'Drow' is the shortening of the Dhaerow...

I'm afraid this faction is too boring even for H6. Where are the beasts, servants and whatever else? On the battlefield all of them would look the same, unless you paint them different colors - like Power Rangers.

Yep, units are pretty boring. I don't like drows to begin with but having all the units either be simple drows with swords, or a drow-spider hybrid is incredibly uncreative, to say the least.
I also don't see the need for nudity, and especially not spider vagina...
I know you put some effort into it, it's a "race based faction" and it's not just made up on the spot, but a something like this has no place in a heroes game.
edit: the names are also way too drowish, to the point where, things like caster->sorcerer would be a better choice despite the blandness.

Duke does have a point though, natural creatures of the depths of the earth will hardly be inclined to wear clothing (if they know what that is)
Great drawings, though I am inclined to say that there are too many elves, parhaps a few more twisted creatures is in order, who have been enslaved or allied to the elves, for variation, but I see what you were trying to do duke,  .

My view on this faction is mainly negative, but I think it has potential and can be improved!.
1. This is basically H5 Dungeon 2.0 = boring. People do not want a town with 7 different Dark elves. There is a reason that Fortress was such an unpopular town when it comes to the creatures in it.
So my suggestion is to remove a number of humanoid creatures in this town and replace them with some cool original underground beasts that fit the theme!
2. The abilities are really boring and uninspiring. I am sure that you can make some more creative skills. My suggestion is to look up on many of the H5 and H6 abilities and get some inspiration from how does work.
3. Cut the long, complicated names. People wont remember those. Use some cool english words intead.

I like its atmosphere, it is quite unique. And don't forget one very important detail, those creatures are not copy/pasted from others sources like in 99% of similar threads, but hand draw.

And on topic. Yes, although I like more racial towns (even H5 Dwarves), there are simply too many drows and spider drows as has been stated before.
