Looking for a map...
Hi everybody. I've untypical question here. Few years ago I've found great map for WoG. There was much scripts (and probably because of that it crashed often  ) some of them worked even until battle. Unfortunately I wasn't able to finish it, I made disk format and the map was lost. I don't remember what was maps name or size (but it was L or XL). I was able to make decisions about plot. One of them was something like this:
In the middle of the night you awake. Driven by a strange premonition you leave your army and enter the forest. After a short walk you see that a young girl is chased by a dragon. She climbs on a tree, but it won't stop monster. She'll probably die if you won't help her! But your army is too far right now so they won't help. You don't have a time for spells either. Do you wan't to help her?
Yes/No (decision)
I don't know what happens if i chose "No", but when i decided to help her my whole "army" was 1 swordsman (i assume it was "me") i couldn't use any spell but i had all my stats in place. Of course my only enemy was dragon (i think it was a green one). After few turns becomes "wood fury" and ents attack a dragon (under my command) if i lost a swordsman i could end a battle (but i get info that i failed and after battle mission was lost) if i didn't the girl was saved and i was granted with some artifact (or XP maybe?).
Please help me with searching, I'm looking for this map for around a year and still can't find it...

If it crashed often, it eliminates any Fnord/Corribus maps, if it had a lot of scripts it eliminates any of Vlaad maps. Those are the first two I thought at when reading your story.
The others I can think of are "The Peasant Leader" and "Werewolf", but none of them has that specific quest. I gathered over years all the wog maps I could find but never saw that quest in one of them.

We did receive a few crash reports for THUNK, but I believe Fnord figured out their causes and incorporated fixes in the latest version.
But the quest certainly wasn't from one of our maps.

I've played THUNK (and other maps from this "campaign"- one of the bests maps I ever played) and Peasant Leader too (weird but this one crashed only few times when i played it). I don't know "Werewolf" so it's possible that's the one i''m looking for. And even if not- well i'll give it a try 
About event: description i gave here is from my memory, but event sense is the same: 1 swordsman, no spells, fight with dragon, ents show on the battlefield after few turns. And I'm pretty sure it was about saving a woman. Map is 5 years old i think (i downloaded it in 2007-2008 if i remember correctly. Hm... Other thing i remember was hero portait- the same one have hero from "A dragon in my heart" (hard map... I wasn't able to finish this one) or in a title campaign from wog (yes i know there are 4 to chose- man on the portait have black hair and... Hm look like elf for me. Also on a map was quite much of water- and sailing of course. I'm afraid that's all i remember... About those crashes- i'm not sure how much time it happened but they was unexpected (no when event occured but- for example- until enemy turn, when i was buying units, etc. But it crashed often.
P.S: I'm gonna check this "Werewolf" right now.
Edit: Salamandre- could you post a link to "Werewolf"? I can't find it...

The maps name is "A Dragon in My Heart". Btw, does anyone know where to find the map "An Adventure With Slander"? I have the russian version and I tried to play, but I can't read the text - it's all stange symbols. Please help!

But it must be . I have it and it is like he said.
The part when your hero fights the dragon alone is on an island full of Grand Elfs. And then the ents come into the battle and help you to defeat the dragon. If you win, the Elfs will join you and you can take the mines without a fight. The hero you have starts with a Gold Dragon and two stacks of 10 grand Elfs.
I have found the map on the internet, but I saw it when I installed WOG (it came along). It was russian version, but the map was so interesting so I wanted to play it and understand what happens.

Ehh... It isn't. Only heroes portait is the same. But "A dragon in my heart" is realluy good map however.

Well, I have no idea then, but I think it is that map. I have it.
Do you know anything else about it? Where do you start? Do you have allies? Anything like that.

Hm. Event in "A dragon..." is very similar to one in map I'm looking for. As I've played it I can't say for sure it's not what I asked for. But:
-In the battle with dragon in "mine" map I had only a swordsman instead of crusader.
-Map I was talking about was mostly islands in the sea (+ dungeons)
-There wasn't dragon in my army (at least not from the beginning)
-I don't recall any elven cities
As I said I didn't played this map to the end, or at least to the middle. So I can't say much more. Yet I'm almost sure that "Dragon..." isn't what I'm looking for.

Sorry but not. If I'd remember it, I'd remember whole name I'm also pretty sure that in "my" map I was saving women instead of child. But I couldn;t use any spells (event was exactly the same in addition to details that I mentioned in my last post. I'm also sure that this map was on Celestial Heavens but I can't find it there- but it's possible that it was removed somehow...

Strange... Almost the same event in both maps... Maybe someone knows what map it is. Do you remember the goal (defeat the monster, defeat the hero, flag all mines...)??

Nope. But goal was "fabular" too. I had to follow story to win. I haven't won map though, so I don't know goal either...
Edit: Hmm... I've seen ver. 2.0 of "Dragon" but only in russian. Is there english version?

I have both Russian and English versions and I'm Serbian (If you are asking that). Btw What is your color on the map? In "A Dragon in My Heart" you're blue.

After reading your post a few hundred times it finally hit me! I do remember that map. You start in a prison, if I remember correctly, and the prison is an island. You adventure around the island and do some side-quests as well as try to escape the island! I am very sorry, really, but I don't remember the name either.. But IIRC, there's a thread here in Heroes Community about that map. And I also think that the map was not even complete.. I'll do a bit of investigation and tell you my progress later

Now that we know that it isn't "A Dragon in My Heart", only one thing is remaining: how can there be two allmost same events in two different maps? Coincidence or something else... But, still, author could be the same, or someone could have copied (not literally!) the event on the map.
