(Mod) second upgrades
Hi everyone I am going to start making a mod that adds one extra upgrades to a creature.
For example:
Footman->Squire->Foot knight
I am not going to make any new models instead I am going to use models from the NFC bank.
If there is already a good mod that adds this type of upgrades (eather for HoMM 5 or HoMM 3) I would be greatful to know about it.
Otherwise, I am fairly new here so I need suggestions about what creatures I should use from the NFC bank(and if there are creatures that you have and fit for this type of upgrades but are not in the NFC bank I would be more than happy if I could use them).
Let's start with Heaven:
Tier 1 second upgrade NFC number:
Tier 2 second upgrade NFC number:
Tier 3 second upgrade NFC number:
Tier 4 second upgrade NFC number:
Tier 5 second upgrade NFC number:
Tier 6 second upgrade NFC number:
Tier 7 second upgrade NFC number:

I'm not sure I understand why you need new creatures since each creature already has 2 upgrades?
anyway : click here
but I don't think the download links work anymore, and I doubt I still have the mod on my computer. but maybe someone else has it.

I am not talking about alternative upgrades. I am talking about more powerful upgrades.
For example:
Footman=normal
Squire=powerful
Foot knight=even more powerful
I hope you understand now.

If you wanted a more powerful upgrade couldn't you just alter the stats/abilities of the 2nd upgrade?

I just wanted them to look more powerful than the first upgrades.

then you will have a lot of work. there is little chance you'll find a satisfying NCF candidate for every creature in the game.

You could try adding some effects to each upgrade but you'll need to experiment and see what looks suitable.

You can use Psaktha's creatures:
Haven:
Peasant->Conscript->Pikeman(lower stats to lv.1)
Archer->Marksman->Chastener(Lower stats to lv.2)
Footman->Squire->Knight Afoot(Renamed Komthur,lower stats to lv.3)
Griffin-Imperial Griffin->Celestial Griffin(a completely white griffin with shining eyes.Make this yourself).
Monk-Inquisitor(renamed zealot)->Cardinal(renamed Inquisitor.stats a bit higher than iquisitor(zealot))
Cavalier->Paladin->Templar(Recoloured and Renamed Challenger with lay on hands).
Angel->Archangel->Principalite(renamed Psaktha cherub.With male vampire head just like the Renegade angel ncf.Hair is blonde and eyes blue.)
Inferno
Imp->Familiar->Devil(Same as vermin alt.up. but with better stats than familiar.)
Horned Demon->Horned Overseer->Horned Leaper(Same as alt.up. but with better stats than overseer.)
Hellhound->Cerberus->Orthus(Complete red with fire from his back body.Same skill as firebreather hound,but higher stats.)
Succubus->Succubus Mistress->Erinya(Psaktha's.Lower stats for t4)
Hell Steed->Nightmare->Dreadful Nightmare
I suggest unicorn model for these,but recoloured and with fire effects.Dreadful nightmare has the Black Knight horse model,with alot of fire and no green effects.
Cultist->Heathen->Heretic
Psaktha is makin' some heretics.Wait until they're finished.
Pit Fiend->Pit Lord->Pit King
I would have liked h3 like devils instead of these,but...
Sylvan
Pixie->Sprite->Faerie(Renamed,Recoloured and re-stated H5 alt upg.)
Blade Dancer->Battle Dancer->Tracker(Psaktha's)
Hunter->Master Hunted->Sharpshooter(Psaktha's Elven feeler)
Druid->Elder Druid->Arch Druid(Sylvan Healer ncf,with Elder druid skills and spells but higher stats).
Unicorn->War Unicorn->Pegasus(Psaktha's)
Dendroid Soldier->Dendroid Guard->Raging Dendroid(Psaktha's NCFs)
Green Dragon->Emerald Dragon->Crystal Dragon(Non flyer.Looks like a massive stone dragon with blue and green crystals and roots.Model of Magma dragons).
Necropolis
Skeleton->Skeleton Archer->Revenant(Psaktha's Revenger.Lower stats to t1)
Zombie->Plague Zombie->Zombie Warrior(Psaktha's)
T3-NO IDEA
Vampire->Vampire Lord->Vampire Champion(Renamed Vopar)
T5-NO IDEA
Black Knight->Death Knight->Dread Knight
Bone Dragon->Ghost Dragon(White one)->Zombie Dragon(green dragon with brown rotten skin and many festered wounds.

Ok thanks for the ideas, despite I couldn't find them all in the NFC bank and some of thhem doesn't look very good. Take the Komthur for example, who needs a helm (I could always change that if it doesn't requip munch work). But about how to implement this system. I can't make an extra dwelling upgrade (or can I?). I could make so the upgrades would only appear in the Hill Fort or I could replace it with the current alternative upgrade and set my own rules regarding when I could upgrade to the seccound upgrade. Do you have any other ideas about this?

Lord Immortal, though some ideas are good, some are questionable. Cultist>Heathen>Heretic? No, that doesn't make much sense. You see, a heathen is any person who doesn't believe in the state religion, like me. Having that as an upgrade would be just weird. Does Cultists believe, but are kind of doubting their faith? How does that make them cultists? And does this mean I have great magical powers? Neat, but no.
I would do it like this:
Heretic>Occultist>Heresiarch
The reason for this is that the heretic is a basic demon worshipper, the occultist someone who has mastered their arts, and the heresiarch a leader of a heretical cult, banding together on the battlefield as representatives of their sects.

Yes you are right. but it will be a lot of work and the heroes 5 engine is unfamiliar with this sort of modding(can't make new dwellings) so I think I will wait and see what heroes 6 and its expansions hhave to offer.
