wow! did u know that...
did u know that ANGELS (not archangels) could beat GHOST dragons? (not bone dragons) I think Ghost dragon should be strong enough to beat any unupgraded level 7 creatures? dont u think so too?

yes, but look at this
Dread knight beats champions
Power liches beats easly Zelots
Vampire lords beats Crusaders
And when u play as necropolis u use the spell raise undead (or something like that)...damn good spell...but if the ghost dragons gets age enemy the angels would be no match 
u know what I mean...but a still belive castle is stronger if u play u´r cards right  ...like having expert air magic
and put prayer on everyone, u´r army will be unbeatable...

prayer is a water spell
And the reason i get exp water with castle town is if i get clone spells those Arch Angels gets really nasty

Im trying to find the full version of HoMM 2 on the net , but I cant find it I have search everywere, from searching on google.com to Direct connect *LoL*

for the ghost and the angel. You just have to look the stats. And archangels are somuch more powerfull than ghost dragons...
But I don't agree, vampire lords don't beat cruzaders.
Oh yes, it's not easy to say. But the no retaliation special ability don't always provide advantages, if in a battle another creature hit the creature which had already been hitted by the vampire, thisone can retaliate against the second.

Vampiers are better and they beat the crusaders often without any perishes and I thinks most of the people agree wih me ...build a special map and put out 2 heroes in one hero put 100 vampire lords and in the other 100 crusaders (make sure that both heroes have the same defense and attcak skill)...that will explain everything...and vampiers lords are worth every gold piece plus that they are flying and fast creatures...

I agree with WishMaster because they are life drainer which is a big advantage to minimize or avoid casualties!

Well I have a question. If my Crusaders attack Vampire Lords and they retaliate, do those crusaders attack their second attack (Vampire Lords has No Retallion)

no Crusaders / Wolf Raiders make their second hit only when they are attacking, not when retaliating.

...but how often does that actually occur in the game?
I'm not sure there's much point singling units out. Ok, Ghost Dragons are weak compared to other 7th level creatures (even to an Angel), but they have their place in Necropolis lineup.
It's all balanced, and Necropolis does have other adavantages, be it that it requires somewhat unique style of play...
I'm afraid to think what a stronger Bone / Ghost Dragon would to for that town.

Of course, I like the Ghost Dragon like it is, it's normal that there are weak creatures in the game. And they are weak and not useless.
I come back to the vampire and the cruzaders.

But vampires and crusaders don't have the same profile, vampires are defensive creatures, with their low damage, and their no retaliation and regenaration special abilities, while the crusaders are offensive creatures, with their good damage and their strike twice ability.
We can't really compare them.

Dont know what you mean with two exactly same answers Hobgoblin...anyaway I still think the vampire is better if you are in a battle (with may units) and the vampire gets hurt he can attack the weaker units to get back the dead vampires...but the crusader is a damn good unit

Oh, really sorry for my double reply. Just a bad manipulation, I don't know if it's possible that a mod removes one of my two replies? Ok, I thought a lot about it, and I think you're real. I just never had the impression to do as good battles with my vampires as I made with my crusaders. But as I said, it's not the same use, and crusader have advantages like the price, a building built easier, but you may be real that the vampire is stronger.
I read again the question of Largo. I really think that the crusader strikes twice against a vampire. I don't think that the second attack of a crusader is considered as a retaliation. But someone should confirm.
