Sept. 15 is due date.
The creature without a hero can get artifacts but can't use them and they don't get the hero bonus.
I got the new PC Gamer magazine today and they do not mention Heroes 4 at all.
Get CGW magazine June issue.
The battle screens you see in the pictures are only test screens. The real screens have objects.

sept 15. That would be cool. I wouldn't be surprised if it was pushed back to Christmas or a little before that, but that is still sooner than I thought. But from the screen shots it looks like they are well on their way.

kura, either there is more creatures per town then a hero can carry, or there is only 6, either way, a hero only has six slots from which to carry troops

Ah, I have the may issue in front of me, I will have to wait for the June. I doubt the game will be out Sept 15th, but more like in Christmas. What surprises me is how these random sites are getting screenshots, but not mainsites like Avault and Gamespot, which are usually the first....

Whats the point in coming up with more ideas we have come up with loads of good ones!
They are the ones that think they can get away with giving only 6 towns probably just mixing up the creatures in 3 and dividing them up. I think 6 towns is way too low i wanted lots of new ideas not just rehashed ones. I mean what have we got here a human town, stronghold and necro so its only three new towns really!
What happens to all the creatures that they dont use? Do most of them get dropped from the game for good? I bet alot of them will be! I really dont care how lovely the game looks or how even these towns will be, i wanted much more not much less! Thats what we seem to be getting though much less.

To me it looks like a pretty and simple version of heroes3 probably made to sell to playstation 2 console. Ive not seen much new ideas in any of the screenshots.

It's still good.
Even though there are only 6 towns, there still are a lot of creature types and even new ones. Each town has more creatures to choose from. Don't judge it until you see it.

Less towns = less fun?
I’m also very confused about the low number of towns. Usually you make more towns/races in later versions.
But the low number of towns doesn’t necessarily mean less fun. Do you want lots n’ lots of towns which are practically the same, or a medium number of towns with very big variation? Take a look at starcraft, here we have very few units, however every unit is very different from the others. Take a look at battelnet, people are still playing starcraft like crazy!
On the other hand, we have total annihilation kingdoms which offers a HUGE number of units, take away the appearance and you’ we got lots of units which could be the same unit.
But than you say: “ I want lots of towns and stuff but also with very big variation.” Name one strategy game with a huge number of units and still very good variation.

i dont think you can compare these sorts of games with heroes. But if you do starcraft had to little troops i mean they may of been a little different but still followed this: shooters beat flyers, flyers beat fighters,fighters beat shooters.

Ill tell you one its called Heroes 3!
There not given us a bigger variation to me they are given us the same towns back with one or two different units and clumping them up so theres more in each town. This is not a new idea which i was hoping for, its the same towns with a slightly new look. I wanted more new ideas to improve Heroes and add to it not just the same creatures in different towns.
What we seem to have is this : castle,stronghold,necro,tower,rampart and probably dungeon with extra creatures added to each.By the looks of things we will be lucky if we get 8 brand new creatures.

Only one less town...
I think you you’re just mad about that 6 is less than 7. (towns) We are talking about one less town here. I think most people only play with a few towns anyway. Personally I only play with 2.
I think you’re assuming a bit too much, how do you know that necropolis and those other towns are the same in as in Heroes 3? Lets ASSUME that they are pretty much the same towns. So what if they are, they’re classics, and you still got 3 new ones!

I know it’s very off the subject but this stuff is so ridicules! People are blaming computer games for school shootings. What’s next? Blaming forums for rapes because of people hearing the word a.s.s?

heh heh i missed most of what you were saying too much **** to make sense of it. But its down from 9 towns to 6 thats a big drop and i dont see the need for it. As ive said before i wanted to see some new town ideas not less.

It didn't decrease, because each town is actually 2 towns or even more, because first there are about 100 hero types for each and 2 dwellings for each level so that are twice as much creatures for each town
