On second thought, they have gated progression and character skills which you can unlock through purchases. Basically either grind for days or spend money to pass quickly. I dislike that kind of design, and that's putting it mildly. In fact, I detest it. The game looks and feels great and the fights are dynamic, the inspiration from Zelda BotW is a massive plus. But nah, kinda on the fence here. Might look for better alternatives.

I am hoping for a Final Fantasy Tactics Remastered edition. From all FF, this is the only one not released in Steam, and given they have released all PS1 FFs in a remastered format, one can always hope they might treat FFT in a similar fashion (not only the kind of face-lift they did with FFT War of the Lions).
And some bonus content, because why not? ^_^

Seriously though I heard the game is pretty ok and the monetization not so intrusive. It might actually be a decent expierience.
It's just not my thing.
PS: Just don't come crying if it'll turn out they use it to spy on Westerners

It's the PC version. This game is on mobile, PC, and PS4.
I got convinced it's a good game, I need to try it for myself. Gameplay and atmosphere is exactly what I'd want from this genre. I will ignore microtransactions entirely, they're not a requirement.

Day 2 player here, because my day 1 was on PS4 and there is no cross save.
It's very atmospheric, not too hard to get into (although I do get confused with its cousin Honkai Impact while moving at times).
Then again, I'm a Mihoyo fanboy by now.

I couldn't download the game yesterday, left it up for 4 hours and it was about done, but no time to play. Today might be able to put an hour into it. I saw a ton of streamer content at work though, that's why I got convinced it was good.
Anyway, maybe a good idea to move the discussion somewhere else? Not exactly something to look forward to since it's already released and playable right now.
Also, why is Blob2 acting like such a tsundere, hmm? Making excuses and stuff like anyone cares if he approves of this game or not. He's really dwelling a lot on the subject for a person "NOT interested..." in this f2p "Chinese Zelda BotW wannabe". Could there be... more to this behavior?

Hmm, you're into paid content now Stevie?  First you say "nah microtransactions", then your head over heels with this game
Besides you're the one who bothered me with this s*it in the first place, while I already stated I'm not interested in BotW rip-offs like Fenyx Rising And a rip-off it is, they even have a goddamn stamina circle when rock climbing

Foregone. Revisiting my Steam Wishlist, this game is there for a little while already, yet to be released. It looks a lot like Dead Cells – actually rather a lot; still, the kind of game I am in the mood to play lately.

Could be nice. You can never have enough of dark fantasy and turn based battles. Reminds me of Tainted Grail a bit.

Kind of interested in Baldur's Gate III. As I have not played the old ones, I have nothing to compare, either for the good or the bad. It is said it is a lot alike Divinity game. Which might not be a bad thing.
